Hi guys,
I have a website Funny pics, Funny dogs, funny quotes, cute funny cats, funny pics with caption, really hilarious images. which is a general entertainment website. I have funny pics, inspirational quotes, and some good positive stories. I have read many wso on funny pics, I have tried to get some good traffic, but nothing has worked yet. I have 300 likes on my fb page. I share good content on other fb page, which yields 0likes or comments. I share on Google plus communities that get me around 5 daily visitors. I get around 15 visits daily. Every post on how to get traffic seems so fake. Now my whole confidence is down. I had planned to start tierred link building, but my onpage seo is poor, so I dropped that too.
Whenever I sit on PC, I get frustrated. My online struggle on 2 years are you know coming to a halt. I had some success with fiverr. but since fiverr v2, I stopped getting a single sale. I made youtube video also, but again zero traffic. Ohhhh I really need something to go on my way, its really frustrating. Anyway thanks for looking into this, please I will appreciate any help.

    1) Compile funny videos - share them.
    2) Below the video have a link to your website.
    3). Rinse. Repeat.

You are doing a minimal amount of promotional work and expecting stellar results. That's not how it works.

I know people like funny stuff but they can find that anywhere online so what's different about your site?

I would advise you to start by promoting your page on facebook so you can get people to share your posts. Build relationships with other fan page owners who get a lot of engagement then once you know them you start offering them content/anything in exchange for them talking about your page.

Just focus on building the audience 1st and focus on one thing to see if it works and choose whether to keep doing it or not. Don't be all over the place, find what works and stick to it. Once you master it then you can expand and do other stuff.

    All The Best.

Keep on building your facebook following. Share your website with them, be social, no selling it. Add your site to Google and prove that you own it, this will then allow you to add annotations to your you tube videos. Annotations are clickable links in your video. Then optimise your annotations by reviewing your you tube videos, noting at which point visitors stop watching them. This is where you should add your, 'Call To Action'. Just you tube how to add clickable annotations to your videos. Their is so much that you can and should be doing. I could spend weeks typing! Just make a start by following the above advice. Hope this helps.

Its not totally accurate, I just think that if I get some good result, like some good comments or share, people saying yeah its a good site, will encourage me. But right now that's not the case.

You need to get out of that defeated mindset. It oozes from your post. There is work involved. Any and all of the suggestions made above are great starting points. For me, YouTube is where most of my traffic originates.

As others have already mentioned, traffic takes time and effort - it's really the toughest part of the business.

You have to stand out, to offer something either highly in demand or unique - if you're not getting conversions, then you're offering the wrong thing. Remember that you need to give people what they want - not what you want to give them.

I made a video of best quotes ever and uploaded it to youtube, but it got no views lol I just gave it some fake views from a youtube view exchange site.
I checked every big site in this niche all have facebook as their main traffic source. I was thinking that the more famous big sites in this niche that have 100000 likes on their fb page, how they got so many likes? people searching on facebook search found them or it grew from that 1 like? Should I give my page some fake likes, about 1000?

The first thing you need to do is stop thinking about how to FAKE things - it's ridiculous to think you can build a relationship with people and market to them on a long-term basis by "fooling" them into something!

Fake likes and such skew your metrics in such a way that it's self-defeating. Platforms reward you for engagement, and you're simply lowering your engagement rate with this trickery.

Decide if you want to "fake" people into a quick sale - or if you want to build a long-term business. You can't do both.

I clicked. I scanned. I left. I didn't see a single image or teaser that made me want to see more. Try putting a crazy header up there. Then get someone to write really crazy and compelling titles for your stories. Right now the site is sort of bland. Good luck.

I just analyzed your site - Yeah in free

#1 - I don't see anything funny there, it looks everything serious
#2 - Change layout of your site - Its not good [ First of all work on this ]
#3 - change your server, its taking too much time to load images
#4 - add some really funny content -
#5 - Give users option to download images on their pc
#6 - always try to put high resolution images with bigger size
#7 - beneath each image give users option to subscribe so they get notified for new content
#8 - you don't have any avatar in your profile , upload it now
#9 - On your homepage decrease size of sidebar, change size of thumbnails and try to put more content atleast 3 images in a row if you can do more make it 4,
#10 - its better to remove sidebar from homepage , put categories as dropdown on top navigation.

For example of layout see some examples of themes by woothemes , you will realize where you standing.

    Best of luck

How do you think you will be able to monetize this niche?

Do your primary target market spend money on what you got? Look on ebay and amazon to see if they are buying and what they buy. You should have something like it.

I just think that this niche is not worth your time even if you do plan a major traffic campaign for it.

Do you know what you're trying to accomplish with your site?

        I can't tell.

And until you make it abundantly clear, there is no reason for anyone to want to visit or to be directed to anything else.

You've bypassed several of the most elementary of steps in building a business: purpose, direction, focus and clear communication.

        You have a web site . . . great . . . but that does not a business make!

I agree with Steve, it seems as though you have no "end goal"...

Someone asked how you will monetize it and your answer was "maybe" x, "maybe" z. You have to know what your working towards. You can't say I'm going to get consistent traffic and then decide what to do with it...

Also, the load time is an issue. On a site that people are just looking to see images, they should really load as fast as possible...

      Praveenshkgp,

I think "fun" is fine for a site - it is entertainment and most people like that.

But "funny sites" are very often difficult to monetize (make money from). If you're trying to make money on the site, then you have to find some reason why people will spend their hard earned cash with you.

You need to create or find a compelling offer of some kind that leads to a paid product or service.

Typically, one way to do that is to find a problem that is common to a group of people (your target audience) and then either create or find someone elses solution to the problem and sell it as a product or service.

Right now, with your current site, I don't see that you have established any kind of real purpose to what you are trying to accomplish.

      Good luck to you.

That's not a purpose that pays - you have to align what you are passionate about with a profitable niche.

You're on the right track to start over and address the elemental issue - what do people want/need.

SteveB and Friedmett echoed my own thoughts:

How do you intend to monetize this? IM is HARD WORK. And I wouldn't put ANY effort into marketing anything unless I was crystal clear how I was going to monetize it.

As others mentioned, you lack direction and focus. Certainly CPA and such can work. Personally, I never wanted to do CPA because it's relatively unstable and offers can be pulled without notice. Of course, that's my opinion. Certainly, there are people who have made good money with CPA.

However, as most marketers will tell you: humor can be a tricky thing when selling things. Most often, it detracts from the marketing message and lowers your sales. Inspirational quotes and such CAN work, but again, marketing general inspiration to a general audience is more likely to flop than anything else. It's flat out too general.

Personally, I wouldn't do CPA, but if you're set on it, the best thing to do is find someone who's doing it successfully and buy their course or coaching program on how to do it.

One thing you could do with this is sell T-shirts with the quote sayings. I know people in different niches who are doing VERY well just on Facebook with T-shirts through crowd-funding platforms like TeeSpring.com.

Whatever you decide to do, DON'T take another step until you're crystal clear on your niche and market and have a clear plan for monetizing what you're doing.

        Hope that helps!

In my own opinion, this is not a niche you can make money in. Start fresh in a niche that is hungry, a niche that has an indentifiable problem that needs solution.

Be the provider of that solution.

          What is a hungry niche?

It's when someone is hunting the internet with credit card in-hand seeking an immediate solution to their:

          - embarrasing and painful health issue
          - insurance needs
          - money problems
          - etc

They're so desperate to find a solution they CANNOT wait 'till tomorrow. (Before I started IM I was like this with a particular health problem. I was in so much pain despite medication that I went online to find a solution and whipped out the credit card and paid there and then!)

Get your stuff in front of these folks! They are waiting to spend cash!

People sat down watching funny videos/images aren't in a mad rush to buy anything.

Anyway, I hope you get my point

I never expected anything very huge with this site. I was thinking that if I get 200$ per month, that will be great cause then I will be able to buy seo softwares, and have bigger budgets for my websites. I bought Embarrassing product niches it was an awesome course, and I plan to follow it when I have some 200$ per month. I think I am not that experienced for making a info product, I have just graduated.
What you guys think, will it be OK to expect 200$ a month with this niche that I am in right now, or should I drop the plan and start again?
Will celebrities be a good niche? or dropping and following Embarrassing product niches?

I used this Site to advertize. It is very cheap! AdFly - The URL shortener service that pays you! Earn money for every visitor to your links.
You get 1,000 visitors for $1. It is not targeted. However, I used this website to advertize one of my blogs weekly. I used around $20 a week. 95% of the traffic leaves your site and never comes back, but that 5% comes back. It is a simple way to get repeat visitors. If they really like your content then they will share your site with their friends- viral marketing- all on their own. It is a slow process.

Other than that, You have your normal advertizing. Search engine ads, S.E.O., social media sites, and butt kissing other leaders to get a small amount of their traffic. I would use facebook, facebook loves funny animal pictures. Just have every picture you share link back to your blog.

Also this Warrior forum has plenty of article back-linking for cheap. About 50% of the links are crap, but the others will slowly send people to your page.

There are numerous free websites with funny things, which are very interesting, but those who are looking for funny things don't have any buying intention. I don't think that this is a good niche.

It will be better for you to use your talent on finding funny things in combination with something else. Don't use your funny pictures and articles only to make people laugh.

Use them to entertain your visitors, but visitors who will visit your website because they care about funny ways to decorate their house for a party, funny ways to make their friends laugh in a picnic, etc. and promote various products for the decoration, the picnic, or whatever.

In a few words, create a website about funny products and not about funny pictures and jokes. Use the pictures and jokes as part of the decoration.

It does not seem like you have any engagement on your page. Not only that you don't have many likes. You might want to do some ads on Facebook to get likes to your page and build it fast. Then post frequently and be sure to interact with anyone who likes or comments on your posts. In Facebook engagement is everything. You could have tons of fans but if they are not engaged its a waste.

I agree with the comments here. What you can do not is to engage your Facebook fans. Comment on their posts. Ask questions in your posts. You lack engagement with your fans. Facebook and YouTube. You have a nice domain that's quite catchy and you can build that into a brand.
