Pay Per Click Ad Help Anyone?

I have been using Ppc ads for a little while with average success. Bing, Facebook, and Google mainly.
I have found that using ppc is better for getting a sale on an affiliate product, but bad for build my downline.
I also found that the leads I get form websites like this have a higher chance of becoming a new member in my down line.
Is everyone getting these same results? Or Am I getting some really weird traffic?
