I thought I was doing great when my sign up rate went from 3.6% to 36%. It turned out when I took the signup page's design to the next level, I went to over 55%!

The secrets?:

1) Filter your incoming traffic - no cold hits!

2) Go through networks of people that know each other - you are piggybacking on network members' credibility to vouch for you

3) All text sign up page

4) Stripped down (almost haiku-like) page text

    I'm sorry..but this has nothing to do with conversion it has to
    do with traffic. You just got better quality traffic per this... that's
    what made the difference. I think your lying to yourself.

    This is not a jab. It's just I can get 100% conversion
    on my optin pages if I tell my family to optin.

    However, great job on targeting your traffic.

    You had a sign-up rate of 3.6%? What kind of traffic were you getting? Even 5 times that amount is low for decent traffic.

    Thank you for the great tips -- but as someone said earlier, this has more to do with your traffic and your squeeze page.

    It is true when you send high quality traffic to a high converting squeeze page -- you are going to get a higher open rate.

    Please explain though in more detail about this networking. Thanks

      BTW. Regarding my original post, sometimes we look at
      the ketchup stain and forgot what originally caused it again

        Got to say I agree with Matt here - a little clarification would be appreciated. And at 3.6% that must have either been adf.ly or the worst Vietnamese or outer-Mongolian solo ad list ever. Nothing against those countries of course - just don't convert well :rolleyes:
