    There's not one but many reasons why blogging is good for SEO. Search engines have always loved blogs and they will continue to love them. Here are a couple of reasons...

    #1: Anchor text is important for SEO and with your blog you have full control over what websites you link to and the type of anchor text you use.

    #2: Other websites/blogs find it easier to naturally link to your blog post since blogs make it easy for you to tell a story or write content that connects with the reader.

    #3: A blog helps you spread your content throughout social media. And considering the fact that Google and other major search engines are taking social media signals seriously, getting more shares on sites like Facebook and Twitter can help you boost your ranking.

    #4: Bloggers are known for updating fresh content and Google likes ranking fresh content higher in the SERPs. So the more fresh content you update on your blog, the better.

    New contents and effort of sharing shown to Google as an updated site. Many other sites have became static after the initial launch. Hence, blogging will help you stand out of the crowd.
