What does your email marketing tool set look like?

I have a goal to grow a small niche community but I have never done email marketing so I would greatly appreciate your advice. It's somewhat adult material, so that's something that needs to be considered.

Let's assume that I already have bought an email list.

1. What software/service do you load your list into?

2. What service do you use to send emails?

3. How do you track open rates?

4. How do you track link click rates?

5. How do you track whether or not a specific email already signed up so I stop including them in future emails?


I really appreciate your feedback.

    No - let's not assume that, DWalte, because if you'd done that ...

    (i) You wouldn't have any relationship with those people, so your open-rates and their CTR's would probably be just about non-existent, in your niche ...

    (ii) They'd all be people who'd receive enormous amounts of spam ...

    (iii) No autoresponder service would allow you to upload such a list (and for good reasons) ...

    (iv) If you tried to send them email on your own, using a self-hosted autoresponder, it would be your own domain-registration, hosting, email service account and maybe even internet connection that you'd be putting in jeopardy ...

    (v) This forum would be a terrible place to ask for help/adivce with such a venture, because promoting/condoning/advising on the sending out of unsolicited, bulk email has actually been a banning offense here for more than a decade.
