WTH! My paypal account got hacked :(

It's been a long time my first paypal account got hacked.

Now i made a new account, it also got hacked couple of days ago.

What's wrong?

I'm 1000% sure about my email and password. But, I don't know what went wrong. Paypal says: your email or password is incorrect.

Has anybody ever faced this problem with paypal?

P.S: I've a prepaid debit card. Will that work with paypal?

Someone tried to hack my PP account a few years ago and PP shut it down immediately. They detected someone trying to log in from a few states away.

Have they locked your account down yet? They're typically a little over zealous about security.

    Have you called them?

On the whole, you get what you pay for.

Hacker might have got your login credentials but not yout ID or bank authorization.

Call them and set up a identity test to get your account back.

But first just start with the easy steps. RESET THE PASSWORD

    good luck!

A year ago, a hacker got my login information and tried to withdraw my money to his bank account. fortunatelly, i manage to cancel the transfer on time.

change your password and do a full virus/malware on your PC!

If your second account is hacked, either your email account is compromised or your local security is compromised.

I would bet that your local machine is keylogged.

    Solution:

Step 1) Scan the hell out of your machine

Step 2) Enable two-facor authentication on PayPal

Why are you wasting time asking WF members who can do ZERO for you? I really hope that you have contacted Paypal about this...

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Agreed, contacting PayPal preferably by phone should be your first priority, they will tell you to change your login credentials! and advise you what more needs to be done.

Changing your password to make it more secure Is what I would do.
It would be wise also to do a full security scan on your computer.

Has the hacker got into your account? obviously you should contact your bank also. unless you want a nill balance.
