When I first got started I was advice to write review sites for certain products.

People love reading reviews for products they are interested in and if you can get them to land on your website. There is a high chance they may click your affiliate link after reading your review and buy the product and you get commission. This can also be done via Videos where you shoot a short video reviewing a product then uploading it onto Youtube.

Now these are just the basic concepts. The hard part is getting visitors to these sites and videos.

This involves a whole new chapter of SEO. You can learn a lot on Youtube if you search up how to do a Product Review.

Plan on spending money for traffic. Or working hard for it.

Sorry to break your bubble, you will need a blog, or tons of articles, or a huge social media account, or friends with these.

Or you could design a product, get it rated by the right people. Have Clickbank offer it. Collect the leads from people failing to advertize properly, and let them make the money for you.

Okay those are the three ways to make money using Affiliate offer. What other people will tell you here is how to get traffic, or what sort of content you have to write in your website or in your auto responder etc. Others will lecture you on the mindset and attitude. But what I just told here is the blue print. You have to ask questions like How Do I Get Traffic? How do I build relationship with my list? How do I send traffic from my website to affiliate offer? How do I get people to sign up? How do I make sure I don't lose money with Paid Ads? Those questions will have more than a few answers.

Stop Buying new stuff. Focus on one of the product which you are really comfortable with and work on it consistently. IM is all about numbers.

If you want to make money with blogging, you need to have a min., 100+ posts
to give an example. Have good amount of numbers and then it would definitely help

I agree with the above poster, stop buying new stuff. Find a niche that you have a passion for, build a blog with valuable content. Include in the blog a "giveaway" in exchange for their email. Put the subscriber on an autoresponder and email the subscriber useful content and sprinkle every now and then an affiliate offer.

In addition, build a squeeze page offering the same giveaway in exchange for their email and drive traffic to it via ppv, ppc, banner ads, and put them on the same autoresponder. Pick once source of traffic and stick to it until you master it before moving on to another traffic source.

It is important to make sure the emails you send out contain value. Some emails should be purely informational with zero affiliate links. This will keep your subscribers from unsubscribing and give you a higher open rate. You will also need to get at least 500+ subscribers before you start to see any consistent email.

I sell affiliate products through my mailing list, it's the best way that's worked for me, banners/ads on my sites didn't achieve much.

sounds all good to build a site but after the efforts to build it isn't driving traffic to it the hardest part?

@g2biz - Software is just a tool, when you get right down to it. Software in and of itself doesn't make any money unless it's used in conjunction with a system or strategy. Now most systems work if you persevere at them for long enough. Unfortunately most people are looking for a 'silver bullet' solution to make an income online so they get distracted and buy another product instead.

For some people it feels like all the hard work is done in buying the product (a relief even) but that's when the real work actually starts (and when most people stop and let it gather virtual dust on a hard drive).

The same goes with buying products. You can purchase 7 products in a row but buying products over and over won't make you any money either. Not unless you implement what you are learning.

Now this is going to be tough, but totally ignore your friends and family. This is about you and what you want to achieve, not what anyone else thinks, regardless of whether they are close to you or not. People stop laughing when you start getting results.

One of my favourite quotes by a millionaire internet marketer is, "When I told the people at work I was going to make money on the internet they all laughed at me. Well, they're not laughing now!" (that guy has so far made over 5 million dollars online btw).

1. Identify Clickbank products with gravity between 20 and 50.
2. Create 4-5 slides reviewing the product (use product name keyword) with your affiliate link on the slides. Post slides on slideshare
3. Use the slides you created in step 2 to create a video (30 seconds to 2 mins) with your own voice or just use some music. Include a strong call to action with your affiliate link. Post video to youtube.
If you do this regularly (reviewing 3-5 products every day) for 30 days you should see affiliate commissions in your clickbank account.

Affiliate marketing and sales is not for everyone. Why not focus on offering a service you are good at. For instance, maybe you can manually bookmark sites online. That would be in big demand with webmasters looking for reputable SEO services but who don't have time for it.

Find a good network to work with first
Make sure you are tracking properly
Read and research throughout

I'm laughing out loud when I hear newbies complain they've bought software or programs and they've never made a dime online.

There's no magic tool that makes money.

You either work for someone else (to write their content, ads or help with whatever your skill) OR you hunt for your traffic.

With affiliate marketing, the quickest way to get traffic is with (buying) solo ads and facebook advertising.

One thing is to know how to get traffic, and another thing is to know how to convert it into sales. You have to master both.

Products that teach you how (or software as you call them) only teach the theory and may give you some "ad" examples. It doesn't mean they'll work "as is". You have to get out there and do your own TESTING. Rinse and repeat until you make your first $1. Then $10 and so on...

There is a lot to learn in IM. But as a newbie, learn how to build a list. There are some awesome list building WSO's here in the WF. Some of them have been released in the last month. There are loads of ideas in them on how to set your squeeze pages up, send traffic to them and convert the traffic. Once you convert the traffic, the money is in the follow up. If you can add value while promoting quality products, not only will the people on the list trust you, but you'll start seeing some money being made.

Once you start making money you can always create a WSO on it, and help other newbies

You need to:
1) get traffic to squeeze page (or whatever)
2) communicate with potential customers
3) try staying in contact with your consumers (for other similar products).

ok, take the advice from the member here, once you have got some money to invest, get keywordspy membership, then you can spy all the top affiliate marketer campaign and copy them.

I feel that you could probably start off with promoting others peoples products by learning how to generate traffic for them. So, thereafter once you have mastered this aspect of the business, you can create your own product and have people market for you. This way, you will know how to generate your own traffic as well as having people send you traffic.

Find a product or service that works that you think is great and focus on learning one or two marketing strategies to drive traffic to it... Once you master those strategies and start making money add more methods to increase it.. You will also need an autoresponder a capture page. And see what other marketers in your niche are doing.. Especially the successful ones.. :-) It takes a bit of work and perseverance but with determination you will get there eventually.. If you want to shortcut the process find a mentor..
