video marketing guru's?

Hey Guys

I really like the idea of frequent video marketing to get free traffic from youtube etc. Are there any decent products/guru's out there that describe how to do this effectively?

I have so far looked at Maria Andros, who has the social media blueprint, but it has sold out.

Thanks Guys

Si

I do a lot of video marketing and probably know most of what you could pay others to learn - what do you need to know?

Have you tried this? have you tested different approaches? or are you just looking for someone to tell you what you should do?

      Hi Andy

No I haven't tested this yet, which is why I was intrigued. Do you find that it works? Or would your recommend just text based blogging?

I guess it's another stream of targeted traffic anyhow so it can't harm progress surely.

      Cheers

If you're targeting the 'make money online' niche the secret to building a strong presence on YouTube is this:

    Great, free content.

    And lots of it.

Write a blog post, then talk it on video. Give people value and they'll return the favor.

It's like everything else - yes it works but how well depends completely on your niche, your message and your relationship with the market.

If you just put together crap videos and spam everywhere with them you'll get poor results. If you create useful videos that make people want to take action - they work really well.

It's safe to say I'm the king of video marketing. All I do is video,
some of my salesletters have nothing but video. Check out my liveoffbeats.com
and see how I use video on every page explaining everything.

I also use all videos for my follow up. Since I switched my efforts to video
it's made life alot easier and has been way more effective for me.

    I would suggest

    1. Be authentic
    2. Talk like you know what you're talking about
    3. Give GREAT info. (Good is not enough)
    4. Keep making videos and uploading them. Some people
make like 10 videos and can't figure out why it's not effective.
I have literally 100's of videos online.

    They are just great.

    Hope that helped.

I've just started experimenting with creating videos and would love to learn more about how to market with them.

I appreciate the input of Andy and Daniel. It sounds as if you need high-quality, informative videos and lots of them in order to be very effective.

You don't necessarily need a lot of them - it depends on what they're intended to do and how you create them.

For example, I like making Camtasia screen recording videos showing non-technical people how to do techy stuff for their online business. It's easy for me to create the videos with marketing in mind and make sure the first 3 minutes and 10 minutes have logical break points, so that I can just snip them short and use them for video sharing site marketing. I use automated submission tools and so it take 5 minutes to get a few hundred copies of a new video out across the internet and start getting traffic.

Because I create the longer videos with this in mind, every time I make a new video I have 3 versions. 1 - the 3 minute intro which can be used for list building or sharing, 2 - the 10 minute version to give away behind a sign-up or on sharing sites, and the full-length video in a membership or for sale.

As long as I start with the end in mind it makes it efficient and logical, and they can act as a funnel.

          Andy,

I like your video funnel concept. It's a smart and logical way to lead people to purchase your product.

Do you have a recommended automated submission tool for someone new to video marketing?

I appreciate your input. Thanks for sharing.

To make videos I use Camtasia. It's a fabulous tool! And I think you can download it with a 30 day free trial.

If you want to get traffic to your videos from YouTube then you need to post informative videos and at the end mention that you have a link with more additional videos to the right of the video. I like to put a big yellow arrow pointing to the link.

In my video description on YouTube simply put the URL of the video and YouTube automatically converts it to a link for me.

It seems many of the sites (except YouTube and a few others) don't allow you to put a live URL into the description. Is there a way to do this that I'm overlooking? If not, how do you get people to your site with your offer? Just a strong call to action made within the video and hope the viewer types in the URL?

Yes. Use intro and exit info and if you like an overlay as well. You can place your link in youtube info to the right of the video, but I believe it is no-follow. Don't worry about that though, if your production is convincing enough, your target audience will seek you out.

Also the visual references to your website withing the video will stay there forever, so the the idea is to encourage other websites and blogs to embed your video. Unlike articles, you will always maintain credit for the production this way.

Yes you can. Put your link like this with the http in it http://www.MyWebsite. com at the very beginning of your description. Then at the end of your video type a message (if Camtasia) or point to the right side where your link is and tell them to go there.

Simple, just use TubeMogul, it post to the top 10-15 videos for you for free... (so you upload 1 video, and it goes to sites like YouTube, MetaCafe etc.)

I haven't used it yet but I have heard Traffic Geyser works well for that too.

    Hey Si,

what you need to do is to make your
video go viral, you can accomplish that
by bringing a huge value on the table.

Other ways you can get a lot of traffic is
rank high(duh) with the search engines.
