What are good products or services to sell to students?

I found a college forum website which has like 500 million page views monthly, the banner advertising fee is only like $4000 a year. Pretty damn cheap comparing to the page views. People are selling things like essay writing services, or online dating services using that website.

What other good stuff to sell? What do you guys think?

I would think a product about speed reading and study hacks would do well. What college kid wouldn't want to spend less time studying?

If I had that page, I would post studying tips, articles on how to survive your freshman year and the likes. Part-time job opportunities can be excellent, too, since there are a lot of college students out there who are financially-challenged. And, I would also love to help them find cheap books.

I'd say 'student loans' and maybe something like 'making money with online surveys'.
You have to remember that students don't really have a lot of money to spend but if you'll offer them a good and cheap money making opportunity (like surveys) they might go for it...
    Good luck

Having students as your target market, you can really come up with a lot of ideas. But I believe that it would be good to give them something that can feed their financial needs such as jobs of different work load/weight. That is something that not only students will grab. Your market will expand because of it.

Free iPhone CPA offers? Of course it will be really stupid to purchase an ad there and not test. You should wait for 10,000 impressions and see if you get 100-300 clicks. If you don't you change the banner or ad. If you do get 100-300 clicks but not even 15-50 conversions, you need to change the offer.

I think time management and enhance learning skills would work great. These are the most searched issues for students.

I agree. You could already have set students as your target market. But, I believe, every student, still, has different sets of needs. If you want to be successful in the niche that you have chosen, you can always follow the most searched issues and cater to the needs of the majority.

Given the demographic overlap between "students" and "people in their (early?) twenties", this thread will also help you, I think: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post8591723

You've been given some really good advice from the people above, and just to add a few more drops to already full bucket, try also all kinds of gadgets, music, movies, concerts, coffee shops/bars/eateries/clubs if you can target their location, affordable clothes and accessories...

Hope you'll find something you can use and abuse .

    All the best,

Add to this those student who have yet to get to uni but are looking at them, and their parents... why not 'the real guide to uni' what actuall happens, how your work will be marked differently depending on te mood of the marker, how not to annoy your fellow students (this happens a lot) how to deal properly with your cash, something that the uni prospectus wont tell you... a kind of bare bones

This sounds a pretty good idea, to me. I could have done with that, when I started.

I know there are some, but the ones I've seen were not good, at all. Some colleges/universities also have their own, local, unofficial ones (usually compiled by final-year students), but I think there's certainly room in the market for a really good product matching the description above.

You know, you can either choose to give students something that can help them enhance their study habits or something that can help them relax from the stressful things that they deal with every single day. You just have to be a little bit more innovative than others who have the same niche. Add a little humor if you want to write articles.

Just like what I have said earlier in this thread, you have to focus on one particular kind of students for you to be able to come up with a concrete idea. It would really be hard to target the needs of students in general. That'll bring you into a big competition.

Dating website? I think you're lost or something. We're talking about the products and services that are suitable for students here. We are considering things that can help make students with their study habits or something that can make them enjoy their years as students. A dating website can make sense but I do not really think that you intended to post that response here, man.
