How to monetize a app review website?

Your pretty much looking to do some CPA affiliate marketing, and the only business i have had luck with is Maxbounty didn't care for commission junction. All in all this is a hard way to make a buck, i would just use something like adwords so you at least get something from your traffic and traffic is going to be your biggest issue.

Here are some thoughts that come to my mind

1) Chances are many of the people visiting your website would be businesses that would be looking for inspiration or ideas to create their own app. You may get in touch with some of the app development companies and get into an arrangement of passing on leads to them for certain $$$.

2) Alternatively if you want to be a little more involved in the process, ask potential clients to fill up some forms so that you can pre qualify them and then be involved in the negotiation phase with customer on one side and the ap development company on the other. After the deal is made you get a healthy share of the revenue for your efforts. There are many app development companies that provide white label services.

3) Talk to app development companies, graphic designers, mobile game designers for sponsorship on pages of your website.

4) From the apps you review, talk to a few good apps' owners to have a premium listing for the category or the page.

It is a lot of work but there is good money to be made for sure. Wish you all the very best in your endeavor.

Please don't spam app developers for reviews. I think I speak for most app developers when I say we hate it. We get hundreds of these a month all spamming our support email addresses with all sorts of promises. I report most of them, especially the ones signed "CEO".

Have developers contact you. Check out how Gamezebo | Social, Mobile, and Casual Game Reviews, Previews, Walkthroughs, Cheats, & Tips does it. Advertising.

Some people post ads on Fiverr saying "I'll review your website on my top quality app website for $5". Personally I would avoid doing that.

The problem with paid reviews is that you start reviewing poor quality apps. If you're honest in your app review, buyers complain. If you're not honest, your site loses credibility.

If you build up great traffic, you can easily get sponsors and advertisers that want to target that specific type of readership. In the meantime, you fill that space with Google Adsense. Watch it (logged out of any Google accounts, of course) and see what type of merchants are displayed. This may give you some clues as to what kind of merchants will be interested in advertising and/or affiliate programs to consider in place of the Adsense.

I know this question was brought up a couple of years ago but I wanted to know if there are any other methods than the ones stated above that can be used to monetize app review sites.
