How many people have made $1k online?

Hey everyone,

Just curious how many people have made $1k online. It doesn't matter if it is/was in the Internet marketing niche, just curious how many people here have and what they did to get there.

Thanks.

I have made quite a few $k online, part time. It is a bit dry at the moment though.

Why yes, yes I have. I'm sure a bunch of people have hit that though. Maybe set the bar a little higher and make it interesting :3

$1,000 in 1 month ? I hit that goal about 3 years ago. It was with a combination of mainly Adsense, Amazon, Clickbank commissions.

    $1,000 a day ? I am not there... yet.

haha ok maybe your right, it looks like the bar was a little low. How about $10k? It doesn't matter if it was in a month or total. If you prefer you can just say what your highest monthly earning was... that might be interesting.

I don't get the point of this post Joel, you need to clarify man and let people know what you're looking to accomplish. Are you looking to see if it's possible in order to motivate yourself, are you just taking a survey...you need to clarify a bit man - your post is confusing, and quite vague

Sorry for the confusion, I was mainly taking a survey. I was thinking about creating a product around interviewing experts who have actually made money online but I wasn't sure how many people here have made $1-5k/month online because I haven't seen any threads that talk about it. I could have missed that one buried in the hundreds of thousands of threads.

Here is an old thread where you might find what you are looking for: How much did you make last month?

Of course, I have already made $1000. I have been in this business for several years and it would be disappointing if I haven't earned that amount yet and I still choose to do this thing. I am earning more than $10k a month and I use and combine different strategies to get that.

Earning $1000 during your first few weeks in the business is easy. You just have to use the strategies that you think will match the level of dedication and the resources that you have. Also, if you actually want to earn something from Internet marketing, you should be brave enough to take risks and make investments.

I have done $1k over and over and over ...... $1k is really not that hard especially if you have a marketable service.

Very true. If you have already chosen your target market, the only thing that you really have to do is to know what they want and to match what they want to what you think is workable for you. You can start making plans from there. After a few months of consistent hard work, making $1000 would already come easily.

I've done $1K over and over. That's really not that much money. I've watched things that worked years ago, go away. You must adapt and be a thinker, take a chance, commit and be creative and you will succeed. Examples are all over these forums but I prefer software creation for niche markets and affiliate marketing.

One reason why I do not really believe in formulas is the constant change in the Internet marketing environment. If you are aiming to generate $1000 within a short span of time, you really have to know how to adapt to all the changes. Also, studying IM is something that you should continuously do.

Indeed, sky is the limit. You really need to earn your way up. Earning a lot from Internet marketing really takes time. You just have to be smart in using your resources and be persevering for you to get the results that you want from IM.

It is quite impossible to go wrong with games, especially if it is really of your interest. Well, being knowledgeable about the niche that you have, too, is very important if you want to make a lot of money online. It makes it easier for you to establish authority and make your market believe in you.

This is great guys, appreciate the feedback. I agree, the title should have been something like "How many people are making a living with IM?"

What was that moment where you finally realized this works and you weren't going to do anything else? Was it when you made $1k, $10k, $10k/month? Just curious.

      Thanks.

I couldn't really remember how much I was already earning during those times but when I realized that I was finally doing the right thing and that I could do it over and over to get more money, I started feeling obsessed with the entire process. When I first reached the stability that I have today, I really felt like this was going to be something that I should do for the rest of my life.

I have made over the 1k, I believe in my first week with a real program not the free kind I brought home $1,800 and that was three years ago. I haven't looked back since, I haven't worked a "job" in 3 years and I support myself and my two kids on just the income I made with IM.

I realized this work when I was able to set a goal of a minimum of $7k a month and I met or exceeded my goal for 3 months straight. That's when the light bulb on top of my head clicked on and stayed on.

I make it now in my SEO business with just 1 client paying £500 (approx $900 p/m)

I have others paying me around $50 to $150 p/m on smaller packages.

I have never been able to do it with clickbank or my own products yet - I am close to launching my own WSO so I hope I can make this a possible fulltime income and I will probably leave SEO as a service.

I've made $1000 many times over with each of these:
    - Affiliate marketing, tangible products
    - Affiliate marketing, digital products
    - Copywriting
    - Stock photography
    - Article (Web and Magazine separately) writing
    - Consulting
    - Web dev and design
    - AdSense
    - Selling my own software/plugins
    - Amazon Kindle books
    - Selling PLR articles

Many times over...suggestion for you though is to split up your interviews into sub-topics - examples - those who have made over $1K/month part-time, those that have made over $1k/month with infoproducts, those that have made more than 1K/month with affiliate marketing, etc...

That way, it is more focused and helpful toward those that have a particular direction in mind.

Not making a living if you only made 1k or 10k

The key is in the list and knowing that you must build a relationship with that list.. I would be more interested in knowing how much the average guy spends to make 1k online...

How many have done it with no money spent at all?

One of the other big keys to success online is building relationships with other marketers.. Help enough people and the money comes....

Most of us that have made enough to make a living of it know the value in the fundamentals...

$273 a day is $100,000 a year. Really not that hard to do when you have a responsive list or lists...

Treat your business like a business..

That's actually not a lot of money, and it's not hard to do. All you have to do is focus on a long-term business model. I'm personally a fan of blogging, but you could also do things like ghostwriting or having a PLR store. It really just depends what you are into.

Right. $1k is not much money; however, it's a great start.

I made my first 1K through affiliate marketing using Craigslist back in 2007. Then I went on to multiple thousand dollar days using affiliate marketing on the back-end after preselling my front end products.

      It's simple:

      1) Create $7-$27 low cost high value products. (brief pdfs, mp3s, short videos, etc.)

      2) Your low cost high value products serve two purposes: (One) Produce a relevant result for the buyers and (Two) Presell your own or affiliate back-end products. (Preferably high end products)

      3) Send 3-5 presell emails as "bonuses" for the low cost high value products you sell.

      4) Announce "something" great is coming in your email series. "You just can't believe how this "magic" solution fills in the blanks of what you've been revealing in the emails series."

      5) Give them the ultimate solution you've been hinting at in your emails series - the last 24-hours of the email sequence. Limit your ultimate solution offer for 24-72 hours to get those who are going to buy to buy - within the time-frame you set. No false scarcity. If you say the offer is gone in X days, then the offer is gone in X days. Now, rinse & repeat.

People in this thread have different experiences, as you can see. Earning $1000 is something that does not happen to a lot immediately. Others lose $1000, first, before they get to earn it. If you really know where your business should be going, it wouldn't be that big of a problem.

Interviews have been done to death in the IM space, in my opinion.

Your customers aren't going to be interested in paying for interviews. There's a guy that has oodles of long interviews on his site, and all for free, in the IM niche. And he's not the only one.

I would focus on working with those successful people to create more fleshed-out, complete teaching products rather than interviews. You can find those who are making good or decent money online but haven't ever released a product in the IM niche, etc.

My best month on the internet overall was when I ran an ecommerce store and in the month of December 2009 it turned over just under £130,000.

In terms of affiliate marketing, my best month (so far) was just over £5,000 (about $7,000) in December 2012 and my best day probably about $500.

Like a dumb shit I sold that site and the buyer mucked it up so bad they finally dropped it. Oh well, I tried to help her, but she was not in the mood to play by the rules.

Want to answer this but not be seen as a braggart.
Made well over $1000 this morning.
But this is NOT a normal day...

It took me 4 or 5 years of working at IM part time to get to my first $1000 week and had many months in that time where I didn't make $500.
I had a full time job (Industrial Planner for people like "Bosch Thermotechnik")

Only a few months after I went full time did it really begin to open up which was many years after I started part time.

Long story short - came off motorbike, broke both kneecaps (A44 junction with Swinherd way in Worcester) was off work for weeks - bored - unable to even bend my legs for the first 3 weeks. Devoted the time to IM and that was my first big month.

I went back to work but I was thinking "What the F56k am I doing this for? I can earn more from home being my own boss."
Scared to leap. Working for yourself is a big step., Sort out your own taxes, no sick pay, no holiday pay... Then rumours of redundancy came and people were asked to volunteer - so I thought
"Hell this gives me 3 months financial cushion - I might never get this chance again"

And I jumped and after a rocky first 4 months - have never regretted it since.

    Scritty

    Good question!

I do that most days in the health niche.

I make and sell herbal products.

I'd like to do the same in the IM niche and am getting there

But... it's not easy: and it's not just "click 3 buttons", lol

I've been "marketing" online for almost 4 years, and didn't make a dime till this past September.

In 2 weeks I build a list of 1200 people, and made close to $2000 in sales.

    Huge breakthrough!

I won't post any affiliate links or anything in here, but I started working with a company that has some great training, and a team within the company that has some even better training. Plus a daily mastermind, and a coach that's doing over $70,000 per month to model after have all made a huge difference for me.

Also, one of the team members does a daily morning "Think and Grow Rich" mastermind call that I've been getting on, and that in itself has done wonders.

Wow, many here have done that. There are so many ways to make $1k online, it will take forever to type here

But you start with making $1 and then scale it up. I think there is a thread in this forum where a warrior just made his first $ or something. You got to take the first step and the next steps will come naturally if your attitude is right.

    Cheers

Made more than 1K in the past 5 or 6 days in SEO. I focus strictly on writing a lot of content in the news blogging niche. It took me a long time to be successful cause everyone who claimed to be showing me did not actually show me. Same old rehashed info again and again with no concrete steps. But I found out how to do it all by myself.

I certainly have, and have done on a regular basis. But like many, I'm not going to disclose what I make.

I don't think you'd ever get a true idea of how many people here on the WF make $1,000+ from their IM efforts.

All my income is from the interwebs, but now im not making nearly as much as back in the golden days, when there were fewer players in the game, and you could slap up just about anything, and it would generate income

    I get mad if I don't make $1k

..weird how that happens after awhile.

I remember my first $35 I got so excited.

I wouldn't say it's always been "easy" - I used to hate hearing that when I was broke and had no clue.

Easier than going to a job every day that's for sure!

Earning $1,000 online is not a big deal anymore. There's no sense in just relying on one off sales as you will never earn a real income that way.

The key to success online is to find a source of money that is and recurring so that you get paid month after month, year after year. That becomes replacement income for your daily job.

Yes, I have made well over $1K over the last 6 years online. I've made it primarily through my own product and Adsense.
