A quick question on Reseller Hosting

Hey guys,
Can someone explain the practicalities of resell hosting for me please ?
I am currently considering becoming a reseller host with hostgator.

How does this work exactly? Do I need my own domain and website to run it?
Essentially my own branded hosting business ? If, so when a customer orders from me do they go through me or hostgator ? (Actually, sorry guys maybe not such a quick question after all haha)

Im just in the process of re-launching a new blog along with a few other ideas I have and a reseller account sounds appealling. As long as it doesnt mean to much more techy work.

Hope you guys can fill me in

Thanks

Scott Allan

They have sort of pre-built platform where you are setup to sell. You do need your own domain to use this.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

Basically, you will get x amount of space for like $30 a month give or take and you can take the space and subdivide them into smaller packages and sell it for $5 to $10. In return you become the middle man between your customer and Hostgator. So you could have like 20 customers at $10 a month and make a profit. Hope this explains it better. Some people just get them if they are going to be doing multiple sites or have a lot of domains they need to host.
