Best Marketing Techniques?

Hi,

I just updated my product for my business Brainwave Sculptures and thought I'd ask the warriors what marketing techniques they might recommend for promoting this type of business?

Techniques I've used/am using:

- Craigslist Ads
- Twitter
- LinkedIn Business Page
- Commenting on related blog posts

Thanks, any and all advice would be appreciated.

well..... where are the people interested in your service? Are they on twitter? LinkedIn?

Your best bet is to do something market research and find out how to reach them.

I'm a video guy so I would market through YouTube and do some video seo.

I agree that you need to figure out where your customers are. You can obtain a lot of great research database info. through your local library's online resources for free.

    Good luck to you.

Also, since this is meditation have you thought about figuring out a way to piggyback with the Yoga gurus out there? And I also think your sales page could be more appealing. Something more peaceful and serene that would inspire someone interested in your genre to read it to the end.

    Good luck!

      I agree with Valarie

As for traffic - once you know your product converts into sales, look at starting your own affiliate program. Start recruiting a sales force (affiliates) to promote your product and watch your sales skyrocket. This will only work once you know your product converts otherwise your affiliates will drop you never to return.

When you're ready to setup an affiliate program you can look into third party providers such as ShareASale or you can run your own in house solution. There are many choices if you opt to run it yourself - just search google for "affiliate program script"

Personally I would recommend working with a third party solution because most affiliates know they will get paid when working through a third party. With an in house solution its a risk on their part when it comes to getting paid.

As other Warriors mention, I would also recommend first thinking about who your customers are.

However, rather than figuring out where they (are) on the Internet, we all know almost everyone is on Facebook.

    What I would do is:
    1) Create a Facebook Page
    2) Make highly engaging posts that talk to your audience
    3) Create a custom Facebook Tab offering something free for your audience to build a list
    4) Run Hyper-Targeted Facebook Ads to your custom Facebook Tab
    5) Integrate a friendly follow-up sequence to your list you're building
    6) Subtly recommend your product to your list

Of course, this is not an aggressive approach for getting instant sales, but it's one that could help you out very long term, build your brand up as an authority and even become a thought leader in the industry if you position yourself properly.

    Good Luck!

I believe it can be successful, if the niche definitely does exist for it - then good. A site design/layout may be beneficial. I would begin with PPC, SEO, forums, blogging, and article distribution.

Right now, I focus on SMO. I tweet on Twitter, I retweet tweets on Twitter and I respond to tweets on Twitter. I do everything that I can do get noticed, but I don't overdo it. I get traffic from Facebook by posting relevant text ads, images and I even make videos, sometimes.

      To be honest...

Looking at your website you may want to update it :/

It looks like it's out of the 90's due to the text. Although I haven't tested bright blue text on a picture background. But I can almost bet that will lower your conversions as opposed to black text and a white background.

Unless you have a different sales page than the one in your signature link :/

The key touched on earlier is making sure people really want your product. I made the mistake of not knowing my customer in my first product. I made some tweaks and price changes and now make a sale from that small niche almost every day.

But not knowing my customer cost me time and effort.
