My partner is about to launch an IM related product next month (and I'm a part of it)

Should we hire a JV broker to bring top affiliates?

Should we hold a hot contest?

That's the standard in this niche, as far as I've noticed.

Any proven ideas and methods to make this a success would be much appreciated.

I can give more details about the product if you require, without revealing the curtain though.

    For a launch to be very successful these days you need:

    1) A hot and in demand product that customers love.

    2) Proof/case studies that show the product has actually worked for others.

    3) A high converting sales funnel that gets affiliates interested. It's no longer just enough to have a front end product only. Your funnel should have at least 2 levels for affiliates to make commissions on. The higher the commissions you offer, the better.

    4) An affiliate contest. Not 100% necessary but affiliates are in it to make money so giving them an extra incentive definitely will not hurt. The power of a content is in getting affiliates competing with one another during launch week and getting them to mail more than just once.

    A JV broker can be good if you have little to no connections in the industry. But it's definitely not a guarantee of anything. Affiliates will still only promote products they want to promote or think are a good fit for their list.
