Can you outsource the "getting traffic" part?

Are there actually services where people will put in the necessary work to draw traffic to your content-filled, monetized website? And if so, would this traffic be legit?

Just wondering...

One interesting example is CPA ads from Google, large advertisers who have been running Adsense for a while can arrange to to pay Google only for when they make sales, leaving it up to Google to manage and optimize the ad campaign. https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2472713?hl=en For most small time operators one usually has to be intimately involved in the traffic getting process, handing it over to a service eats into your profit margins. Certainly there are a number of individuals and agencies who can send you traffic, take care, there are lots of sources of junk traffic that will not convert to sales.

Well, you have real traffic and then you have bot traffic and let me start by saying that when you purchase traffic from most sites selling it, this traffic is more than likely the bot traffic. I think what your after is to outsource the SEO piece and get some type of ranking in order to get natural organic traffic, right? Social traffic is another good source and all of this can be outsourced.

The first thing you need to do is find out which traffic sources will profitably convert for your site. That means you need to test various forms of traffic and track the results.

For a blog with high-quality content, you may get good results just from simple pinging, bookmarking, and backlinking.

If you outsource, be careful and selective. You don't want to end up paying for a lot of junk traffic.

I think that if you can drive traffic to sites, you should give it a go. Get yourself a couple of good ratings on places and you can start getting some really good well paying clients.

It a lot different than SEO, people will expect results almost immediately, and expect signups and sales, which you will have to provide.

    Thanks for the replies!

I'm a little bit uncertain about how I would use "pinging, bookmarking, and backlinking" as a means to drive traffic. I understand that backlinking means placing my links around the internet (forums, commenting, etc...).

However, all I know about bookmarking and pinging is - If I like a site I "add to my favorites" (aka. bookmarking), and when I link to another blog post within a blog post, that is pinging. I'm not sure how I would use those two things to drive traffic to my own site.

Also, would you mind clarifying Seonutshell....I'm not quite sure exactly what you are recommending in this strategy.

    Thanks all!

It is not that difficult to get decent traffic to your website. But for that you have to put some effort which will require some time. Once you have implemented your traffic strategy, you will slowly notice that your website is receiving traffic.
And you must decide your traffic strategy first, which can be implemented later.

thats a pretty broad question... you should focus it a little more. Instead of "can I outsource my traffic" you should be asking "can I outsource linking, social media management, ppc campaigns, etc." ....outsourcing someone to develop and and manage your entire traffic strategy is not only ineffective, but really irresponsible. Come uyp with your own strategy and then find certain tasks within that strategy that you can outsource.

From your question though Im assuming that you dont even have a traffic strategy....I would highly suggest learning a lot more about generating traffic and actually do it all yourself for a while so you can actually make a good decision if you decide to outsource any part of it....not to mention save money in the meantime. So many people are interested in outsourcing their work that Im surprised there's even money left over to make after paying people to do stuff you can do yourself.

I'd get your head into a load of posts on this forum on traffic generation. Learn as much as you can then create a traffic plan from your new knowledge.

Give this plan to an outsourcer or a team of outsourcers that you have picked for the job(s).

Let them do the grunt work then you have a traffic team!

Thanks for the tips everyone. Yes I am working on doing it all myself for now. I'm using Facebook, YouTube, and forums as my main sources for right now. I will also look into using Fiverr to promote some of my articles too.

Find a good VA on Fiverr, (there are a few good ones there) and use him to post ads on Craigslist, Backpage, etc. Or.. have him post comments (high quality comments) on related blogs and/or Fanpages on Facebook related to your blog (with a link to your own blog or your own Fanpage of course). Or.. have him create and upload YouTube videos for you.

There are other things you could have him or her do also to get you more traffic. These are just some ideas to get you started.

I read this article a few days ago from Kim Roach (not affiliated with her in any way, just thought it was a great article):

How to Get 5,000 Visitors to Your Next Blog Post... (WITHOUT Google)

I don't see any reason you couldn't hand this off to a VA and have them do it for you (although I would recommend doing the process yourself at least once just to get a feel for it).

You could probably put out an advertisement looking for people who will do this for you... but in my opinion, it's an unnecessary expense. Learn how to do it yourself. You'll give yourself more stability and reliability this way.

If you have the money then sites like cpcbroker.com do provide traffic that is best suited for your site / squeeze page. You just need to pay and provide them the url for sending the traffic and they do the rest.
