Searchwarp.com question...

by Mad Dawg 8 replies
I have recently been submitting some articles to searchwarp.com. However, I'm having a strange issue.

The first article I submitted has about 110 views so far, 12 of which are organic from google.

Every single other article I've submitted (9 others) have zero views.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Thanks guys!

I thought I was the only one. Guess it is system wide.

BTW, is Mooter down? I cannot get the Australian search engine to work.

I hate to bring up an old thread, but I am not having luck with searchwarp. I've submitted two articles to them and both were declined with no reason. I even sent a message asking why, so I could fix a problem or change them as needed, no reply. Same articles that get accepted elsewhere.

    Any tips or clues?

Course after seeing they use nofollow, maybe not a big loss anyways.

Searchwarp seems to have a disdain for marketing of any kind.

But they used to put the ones they considered "Sub-Par" on one of their sister sites like SearchRamp.

Haven't used them in a while though.

      Best!

Thank you. Yes, after re-reading their FAQ page, I was thinking the same thing. I think they are informative, but maybe the subject matter is too commercial. Would be nice if they told me, but sure they have a heavy work load.

Well, you guys just kind of answered my own question before I even asked it.

In the Ezinearticles.com discussion, someone mentioned Searchwarp as an alternative, but every time I went to Searchwarp (twice I think), I ended up not signing up because their TOS gave me pause:

i.e., their aversion ot any kind of marketing oriented articles and even subject matter.

So I was going to ask whether I was over-interpreting that (as I have a tendency to do), but apparently not.

Another one that's finicky is Articlegold.com They did publish a couple of my non-commercial articles, but would even bounce back review articles as "promotion" (and no, they weren't completely one-sided either). And they even rejected one article that was really a service article (about the IRS) because the topic was affiliate marketing. Ouch!

So I guess I won't be messing with Searchwarp after all (probably at least). Then again, maybe I can give my stress articles a try, just to see what happens.

Except... they also don't like articles that have been submitted to a number of other places, so either send them the occasional semi-exclusive and see what happens, or forget it.

Searchwarp recently made some changes to their topic coverage. They are looking for more how-to type articles and less business-related themes. If you're in a non-business/marketing niche, you will probably do OK on Searchwarp. If not, your articles will probably be rejected. If they haven't given you reasons for rejecting your articles, it might be because they feel you haven't read the new policy.

Their sister site, Searchramp, is a waste of space. They "claimed" that articles that do not quite meet their strict guidelines (ie: borderline) but still have potential are automatically posted over there instead of on Searchwarp. Since Searchramp has/had no page rank last time I questioned this, where's the benefit to authors?

I think they're just scraping articles from Searchwarp to get that sister site working. Several of my best articles went over there as soon as I submitted them and before they had been approved. So it appears they've initiated some sort of code that randomly puts articles on the other site. Since I'm looking for traffic and none was coming from the sister site, I deleted everything of mine that was on the sister site.

Their policy changes just might be their downfall, as Searchwarp always brought me more or at least equal traffic as EA.

              Sylvia,

so they didn't always have those restrictive policies then? I was wondering why a major article marketer lists that one among his highest recommended sites, when it's so marketing-unfriendly.

I'll try some of my stress articles...

I'm sure they did have strict policies, but it was only recently that they told me they are looking to get away from the business/marketing type categories and more on lifestyles, etc. So go ahead and submit your stress related articles. They are probably just what Searchwarp wants.
