    1. Create good content and get a following. From the ground up.
    2. Send them emails marketing your products.

    Hi. I'm willing to answer.

Assisting will cost you a pretty penny.

You just have to get traffic to a squeeze page. The bad word in that sentence is of course the word 'just'. Because there are tons of ways to get traffic.

    Easiest, fastest, most effective way?

Figure out how to tap into someone else's customers. This is, in my opinion, a big pay off. And worth your time, versus advertising all by yourself. Solo ads are only one way.

    Partner, partner, partner.

    Here's a big hint:
    1. Find people selling similar products.

    2. Email them.

    3. Be cool about it.
    Alternatively...

Write them an actual physical letter.

    More impact.

As for a good way to convert leads into sales...

First of all: Ask for the money.

There's a good Ron Popeil story in the book Act Now! by Kevin Harrington (one of the most successful infomercial guys of all time).

    The story goes...

Popeil demonstrates a product. Badly. Really badly. But at the end of his demonstration, to his friend's horror, he has a horde of people almost begging to give him money to buy the product.

    His secret?

In his own words: "I know how to ask for the money."

Another good way to convert (from a squeeze page, specifically)...

Make sure the freebie you give away rocks. (Reciprocity.)

It makes a big difference to be really, really good.

    There you has it.

    Marc

PS. Another quick tip. If you 'trick' yourself, psychologically, into thinking that list building is actually easy and fun, then, it will be easy and fun. Actually.

    Different internal dialogue. It helps.

The most important part of building a list is the offer.

Create something that people want and also want to share.

Then drive traffic to the offer. Facebook is a good place for cheap traffic nowadays.

Its all about building a relationship with your list and take it to an extent where they trust you enough to take action on your recommendations. I know it sounds fairly easy but in reality it does take a lot of time and effort. I would recommend use the search function here to find all the posts on list building. Tons of golden dust lying around here, available for free. Devour them, take action and see where you reach. You will learn a lot that way without spending a lot.
