Hi there Ethan! I would do both.

Create your own product now, launch it with the leads you currently have, and simply lace in strategies to grow your leads (which will increase your sales obviously).

It's always best to launch quick, otherwise you'll keep coming up with excuses to postpone.

That Is a very great question you have there. I would recommend create a new product with whom you have right now. You will always be able to grow your list and have more traffic come your way especially after have 100 new people to promote for you and help you out in any way shape or form. Good Luck!

Much depends on the product, If it is a great product and you 100% know its ready for prime time run with it.

The biggest problem I see with lots of products these days is that its not ready.

More so with software than other products, but if you know you have it right you wont need a lot of promotion, Great products are like magnets for buyers.

    Bad products, speak for themselves.

The problem with my near 200 leads is that they are not very responsive to my emails. Its always the first email that gets the highest opening and click through rate. After that, they just keep plummeting.

Is there any fail-safe plans that you guys use for this kind of situation?

I really wanted to create a product in that niche but without sufficient email leads, the moment I launch my products, there's highly not going to have many sales coming in at the start to earn back my initial product creation investments.

Any more advice as to how I should go about doing this?

I think that's inevitable, especially in the im niche. Attention spans are short and there is always something new to fluster people.

Having something to sell is a good thing. Even if you don't hit it out of the park because you can't generate a buzz or what have you, you still have something that can be expanded on or re-released when you have more leads. Or used as a giveaway later on.
