Question about amazon affiliate stores

Hello I am new to these forums!

I am a graphic / web designer and have been working last 5+ years in the health & beauty industry. I have some knowledge with the whole affiliate marketing as we catered to clients who did free trial offers, affiliate marketing networks etc.

I am looking to setup a few amazon affiliate stores to augment my income and potentially even do full time if it's lucrative enough.

Basically the idea is simple just setup a bunch of very targeted 1 page amazon affiliate website stores and have them link to the amazon pages, etc.

Has anyone seen great success with this or is it going to be more of a fruitless endeavor?

Any input or suggestions welcome!

Thanks!

As far as I know, your websites have to have some audience to be accepted by Amazon.

I bought Covert Store Builder here on the forum. I have one half implemented site and every intention of achieving some proficiency with my store site. It has to be about the niche. If you're digging up the best stuff available and really adding value for the user it only seems logical that an Amazon affiliate site has potential as a moneymaker.

And are you planning to use free websites like wordpress.com etc...? Im asking because hosting your own domains and just put one page on it, that will be expensive.

Build one site that target many products instead, you will never rank in google with just one page if thats where you planning to get traffic from.

Ah yes, I mean it would most likely be a wordpress that pulls in top 10 products of a niche category, repeated across several different niches. Main cost would be 1 off domain names on 1 shared hosting plan.

When you say stores are you referring to an Amazon a-store or a custom made store with original content? An a-store alone isn't going to make sales because it's just like a giant widget so Google won't send traffic to it. You need to add an a-store to an existing site which gets traffic.

Here is an example of a site I found that has its own domain and content, etc. When purchasing anything it just directs you to checkout through amazon.

Safe & Natural Pet Products :: Pets Go Natural (Not my site just one I quickly found that incorporates same technique I was looking at)

What I can tell you is that, Amazon is paying their affiliates today

The best thing about sending traffic to amazon is that they have a lot of products and different prices to fit everyone's needs. People tend to buy different items and all you did was just send them to 1 item.

Make sure you have original content unless if you're going to use paid traffic. I'm having good success with amazon in the music niche.
