Question: How to get affiliate income from re-orders

I am interested in being an affiliate for a site that has a 30 day cookie. Of course, I only get paid when they click thru on my site and buy in that 30 days. When a customer wants to re-order, how do I get them to come to my site, rather than go directly to the vendor? Suggestions? How are you able to get affiliate income from re-orders?

I think once you have converted the prospect, they belong to the vendor. Unless you are offering them an incentive for going through your affiliate link.

Yes and that's my problem. Any creative ideas to get them to go through my site again? One I thought about was promising them discount coupons if they provided their email address. Then when they vendor supplies them to me, create a subpage on my site where they have to go to retrieve the discount code with a click to order button.

      Any other ideas?

A very difficult proposition especially with physical or recurring products as the brand name is very prominent as that is what the user remembers. One ray of hope is to have the customer in your email list and staying in touch with him and sharing the affiliate link occasionally. Alternatively look for affiliate programs with life time commissions.
