When you buy a domain name and want to sell it, is there a waiting period before you can sell that domain? Also, what is the best way or maybe a good site to sell domains?

Thanks,

Todd

    Hi Todd,

    There are no waiting periods.

I have brought domains and then sold them in just 2 or 3 days.

I sell my domains at Sedo.com

Depends on the registrar I believe. I have bought domains in the past and sold them after a week, but they would not transfer until 60 days after being registered. I sold through sedo and after the 60 days was up, domain transferred and I received payment with no problems.

There is no waiting period, however, I know so registrars have 60 day waiting periods to transfer a domain out of their service once it is transferred in. This usually is ok as long as your buyer creates an account at the registrar the domain is currently at.

As a member of DNF and NP, selling domain names has really slowed down but I find NP or auctions such as Sedo or Afternic to be good choices depending on your DN and since we're on the DN subject its best you guys get your .Tel names soon because they're flying off the shelves.
