how do you get questions your audience is interested in?

How do you get these things if you have a blog and want to know what to blog about

    Great question!

I always make sure building a list from my blog is top priority.

Once you get that moving right along... then set up several emails to go out in your autoresponder, asking for feedback on what (they) want to see you blog about.

To collect feedback, you can just use a simple survey system like Survey Monkey or Poll Daddy.

IF you don't want to go that far, then you can simplify the process 10 fold, by putting a survey popup on your site in a subtle location using a service like Qualaroo (formally known as KISS Insights)

    Hope this helps!

A lot of people including me does not like pop ups within a webpage. This method may work but I would like to suggest to add a web form within the blog and add a text box in your blog sidebar. "Want to know more about (your niche), Contact me (Linking to your web form) and let me know your questions".

By asking them what they're interested in.

Preferably by (automated) email, because people who receive email from you are far more likely constructively and helpfully to answer your questions than mere visitors to your site. It's very, very difficult to engage most of your audience without list-building - it's all pretty random, really, by comparison.

Go into related forums and other blogs to find topics.

Go to Yahoo Answers and search your niche keyword.
You should find plenty of questions there.

Simply create your own questions from there - and you can even 'borrow' from the best answers, to make sure you have top quality Q&A on your site.

There are other places too, but Yahoo Answers is a good place to start.

Try searching on google, for example if your website is related to Hardware, then search 'How to' + ' Hardware ' + 'Forum/Blog' or something more accurate. Try it, really useful for me, and I do it to find latest web development questions around internet

Don't forget Reddit! Their sub-forums are GREAT places to search for content. The IAMA board there is loaded with questions that your audience is curious about every subject imaginable.
