I am looking into a market right now and i am analyzing my compitition to see how they possibly make money and so far i cant come up with any way that they do. They have 2 ads and thats it, their is no mailing list, no ad sense, literally nothing but a 234x30 banner at the top and a 60x340 banner on the right hand side. NOTHING!

so how can i see how much a website is making

You really can't. You can try to determine what their methods for earning revenue may be, but as for how much? That information simply isn't available to anyone not involved in operating the site.

    Depends on the web site.

Directly you can not see anything but there are ways to look "under the hood".

When you hover your mouse over the banners, what are the domains? Is it a redirect or a straight on direct link? That should give you a clue. The redirect will mean the owner has sold those spaces in some ad network.

There is no way to know how much a website is making. You could click on the banner ads that you do see and see where they are redirecting their traffic though.

Try to find out what they offer and in which Way the reach their customer?
To concantrate on these facts can be helpful for you more than to find out how much they profit.

Before doing anything, try to find if the domain was put up for sale in the past year. I am using this technique and I found my comptetitors sites listed. They were not sold but probably they wanted to find out if someone will pay for their domain.

To figure out their methods, you should really analyze the content. If they have affiliate links in the content, where the banners go, if they publish sponsored posts.

If you give us a link we may help.
