What's with the ads? Are they testing me??

I understand the idea behind marketing is grabbing others attention, and so I have to wonder, are the ads at the top of the pages here legitimate. I can't help but feel like all the reviews are just too neatly worded, or scripted.

I'm surely overthinking things, but I like to be thorough, and I'm essentially new to these forums. As far as I've been told, this is a legitimate site with people who are truly earning a living online and helping others to succeed. In knowing that, I wonder why all these threads don't simply say- just click on the ad at the top and be on your way to making $100 a day or more! What are you waiting for?!

I guess I'm just a skeptic! I want someone to agree with me; to tell me that the ads, even on this site, are deceptive. You will realistically NEVER make $100 a day or even close to it, especially just starting out. RIGHT?? Or am I wrong?? Haha. Alright, hopefully I got my point across. Sincerely, newbie skeptic who loves to write.

(edited) Also, how do you thank someone on here? I'm referring to the thank option, as opposed to asking you how I type the words 'thank you.' In case you were wondering.. thanks!

    Those are paid ad placements.

Find some other way to make money, sir. If you believe it's impossible, you'll never do it.

Note: That doesn't mean I endorse any of the systems advertised in those banners. Just that you can make a whole lot more than that if you find an approach that you're willing and able to work with and which serves a market able to pay for what you're offering.

I'm curious... why do you ask a question which you have publicly stated you have already formed a decision on? What exactly is the point?

      Hi Garret,

I haven't been here on the WF long. But for the 1-2 months I've been here, all I can say is that this place is great. It works. People are just sooo helpful.

I've never bought a WSO before or clicked on one of the ads. I'm just saying that if warrior members create products the same way they help me and all the other newbs, then their ads are totally legit.

There are some real marketing gurus here. The trick is to find those gurus, and get their products. Simple as that.

Again, none of us are any Mother Teresas. We want to help others out, but we still wanna make money off of our WSO's. What do you expect?

But, at the same time, most WF members give REAL, IN-DEPTH value in their WSOs (that's what I can tell with my experience with review copies of WSOs).

So, no. You might not start out at $100/day, but some of these WSOs could definitely quicken the process of getting there.

      All the best,
      JR John

I think like anything you have to do your due dilligence.

Does it fit with your goals, take you where you want to be?

You will learn a lot doing what you're doing, and that's asking questions. Plenty of people to help you out - I know I have learnt a great deal in here from asking, but I have also had a small number of digital products that I've purchased and that have really taught me a lot too. And also a lot that have been complete garbage - like anything in life there are good and bad...

You need to have written a certain number of posts and then a "thank you" button will appear.

If you are both new to this forum and internet marketing,
    I have some suggestions:

    1. Do NOT buy anything until you are comfortable with your goals.

    2. Read every thread about areas that interest you.

    3. When you start to get the feeling that you know the general direction,
then, using the search button at the top of this page to learn more.

    4. There is such a wealth of knowledge here waiting to be used.

    5. Then if something stumps you, just ask. In the right forum of course.

90-some % of everything you need to know is here. Free of charge.

    Good luck,

    Hugh

      Garretc8,

The ads you see on this forum are ads that are paid for by Warrior members. Yes, you may see them as deceptive or sometimes "hype" filled, but you have to remember that this is a marketing forum open to the public and anyone can join and pay for their marketing message. It's no different, in that regard, to any other paid advertising.

What you have to understand is this: advertising is all about getting attention, making an offer, and providing a product or service in return. You as the viewer have to discern whether you want to respond to the ad or not. Use your brain - if you think something is deceptive, don't respond.

You will soon learn that there are many great things to help you learn Internet marketing here at the Warrior Forum, some paid and some free. But this is not a place where everything you see advertised is first screened through some BS meter.

The fact is that this is an Marketing forum. Any one can join and pay for their ad to be at the top so they can drive traffic and sales. It's all up to you really, whether you want to be an constant buyer or whether you want to chose the system that fits you and stick to that one system and take action everyday using proven techniques.

You don't want to get in the habit of buying wso after wso and not taking any action even if it is a great course, you will not see any success if you don't take action everyday.

Also to say thank you just look below the posting of the person and you will see a "button" that says "thanks" and just click on that. It's located in the lower right hand corner of the person who posted.

    All the best

Thank you all very much for your replies! Very generous of you to take the time to answer my questions, and I appreciate it. I'm going to be cautious, and read everything I can. (particularly copywriting)

I'm sure I'll have more questions, and hopefully I'll have some answers for people soon enough. I'm very excited to start using my desire to write creatively in order to make some extra money. VERY EXCITED. Haha. Have a good day.

The ads are everywhere. Not only in forums, but in Youtube and even Facebook. I also had a reaction when I saw those "suggested pages" on FB making my newsfeed a market place. The weird thing is that most of the pages were not of interest for me, so I considered them quite disturbing. But then, if you think straight...is there any other way for a product/service to reach the public than through publicity?
And now...it's a war out there!
