Rookie here! How to Get More Traffic to my eBook Site?

This is an amazing forum, with enough reading material to keep me busy for months!

I'm chasing a dream of writing, helping other in a niche subject and hoping to move toward being a solid business.

I wrote a 54 page eBook; I'm using ClickBank...but can't seem to get any traffic or affiliates.

I've started a Facebook and Twitter pages...and also write articles on eZine; post responses on Yahoo Answers and several vertical forums. Still....no real traffic.

Any suggestions?

Don't want to break any rules...am I allowed to post my URL here?

      Hi mate,

This topic has been discussed over and over again, you can use the search button within the forum, there are plenty of threads related to traffic.

There are many free traffic techniques u can use and at the beginning, you will need to spend quite a lot of time. I suggest you to take advantage of social media and video marketing, is very powerful.

      There are tons of possibilities, just to name a few;

      -search engine submission
      -writing articles
-press releases (distribute PR to PR networks)
-video marketing, create videos and submit them on video websites like Tubemodul
      -blog marketing
      -forum marketing
-create accounts on social media sites like facebook, twitter, linkedin
-Linkedin marketing(create your profile there, brand yourself)
      -podcasts
-create a hub of unique content on hubpages
-submit free ebooks(with your links inside) all over the net
      -viral campaigns with CloudFlood
      -Facebook ads
      -mini pdf reports

      ...and a ton more.

...or you can go with paid traffic to skyrocket your presence and traffic more quickly.

As i said, search within this forum.

      Good luck

Go ahead and post the URL. So long as you don't blatantly advertise, the mods will understand.

If you tell us your niche, we'll be able to help a lot more

Wow, Jehovah's Witness? Is there a market for that? You need to know your market first and then go and then find where your target audience hangs out. I am sure there must be some online place. And then make friends with them or buy an ad there.

Also maybe sell on Amazon or ebay(still can be done but in CD form) ?

I think I have not understood what you are selling exactly. The Sales Page seems to be quite weak. I would suggest you to send some targeted traffic and see the conversion rate. You can buy some PPC ad from Google Adword and Facebook. If the conversion is good then go ahead and buy some high quality backlinks.

I think one thing that you can do now is to post the affiliate program in the affiliate directory in this forum.
That one will attract affiliate that's in the same niche as yours

Since you are a writer...why not start a blog?

I love using a blog as a central hub for my marketing, and I have a daily syndication routine for each daily post I make.

Regular, engaging content widely syndicated over a consistent period of time WILL get you traffic.

Otherwise, you just need to get creative and figure out different ways to get more people to see your blog posts.

Ezinearticles work just fine for me. I've been getting some traffic from LinkedIn too.

If you have a good amount of FB likes or Twitter followers, I would have a contest giving away one free ebook for someone who shares your page (or your status that really sells your book). I think this would peak interest and add more people to your following that you can market to in the future. Also, maybe offer a sneak peek to the first 25 or 50 who like and share your page at some point and give them the first chapter or whatever part of the book you think will hook them and get them to order.

Seems like an awesome topic in the sense that it targets a very deep, emotional pain and desire for help - just what you want to see in an ebook.

Big question you have to answer is how do you reach your audience. Do people that want to leave JW look for help online already? If so, what keywords do they use?

It doesn't surprise me there aren't man affiliate given that I can't think of hubs where the discussion is how to leave a certain religious affiliation...but I also believe there is likely a pretty major audience for what you have put together.

I would definitely try the following (after doing some deep keyword research to see if you can find patterns of searches your market use already) - blogging, posting regularly to FB, Twitter, YouTube video ( this could be pretty powerful since this is a somewhat controversial topic)

    Jeff
