Hey guys, so i have been Direct linking CPA offers on craigslist to make some money.. great it works but merely "extra cash" . But i feel "dumb" doing it and i want to move on to my next project. Ill try to ask this question the best i can..

Like what combinations of internet marketing work the best for you OR what was the first internet marketing technique that FINALLY worked for you? I don't want to just use one method. Kind of hard to "Master" direct linking when there really isn't anything to master lol. Obviously i will still do it on the side, but what SHOULD i be working on? I am going to guess that you will say a website, which i have no problem working on except i want to make 20-100 websites.. how the **** do you manage social media around that many websites? lol OR make one website with those 20-100 ideas built into one.

Pro's and semi-pro's please let me know your advice if you can spare it!

Pick a niche and create an authority website in it, but don't pick anything big like "health" instead make yourself an expert in a sub-niche for example "hair loss".

Do a good keyword research and rank for various long-tailed kws first and eventually rank for main keywords.

Also keep in mind if your website is making a lot of money for you, you can hire somebody to manage your website - backlinking and social media, so making many sites is not a problem as long as they make you money.

echoing what Russerg said, do some research and find a sub-niche which is not oversaturated and create a website which offers real value. Make sure you cover the subject in the greatest detail there is on the web with well written, authoritative articles. Find out what kind of questions people are asking in the niche (forums, yahoo answers etc) and base your content around answering those questions and providing solutions (affiliate products).

And start growing your email list from day 1!

What cpa network are you using? Afaik most networks don't allow traffic from craigslist. I guess it converts poorly on the back end for advertisers.

The best thing you can do right now is pick the best idea out of your 100 and focus on that single idea, and allow your efforts to revolve around it.

If you're anything like me, you may start to get bored and want to move on, but it's critical to stick with it.

For me, the first marketing technique that worked was hyper-focusing my marketing effort on one technique.

Pitching to high end clients quickly provided me with the highest income I've ever had ($67,000, which would be 6 figures if I stopped marketing and focused entirely on my client base).

I'm providing SEO copy. It didn't take long to learn, and I'm actually branching into more sales copy as well.

All that to say this. Your best chances of making serious cash on the internet rely on:

    1. A website (like you mentioned). A blog to start sucking up a goldmine of an email list. A portfolio site that convinces clients they need you. Et cetera.

    2. A quality service or product niche, and the ability to provide that service or product.

What is your best idea? I can give you better info knowing that!

Ok i understand what you guys are saying, i have a few more questions if you guys don't mind.

      1. What do you guys do for graphics, buttons and badges? I read that its not good to use someone elses graphics and i am sure the stuff i create will be mediocre, the graphics redeemed from fiverr, odesk, elance will take forever and become pricey. OR does content on the site overrule poor graphics?

      2. Building a list sounds boring and costly unless i don't pay for solo ads and have organic traffic subscribers only, anyways, i have watched countless videos on wordpress (not too advanced) what do you guys look for when you pick a theme? What is the best framework to use and how do i check the framework of a theme? Ok sorry if these are a little too deep of questions, obviously i will be building content before anything else.

        1. You can buy a pack of graphics online, look for some here on WF in WSO section or JVZOO

        2. I don't have a list but I know it's a very good long term investment that will make you a lot of money so having an opt-in form on your sites is good when it makes sense

For Wordpress I usually use Socrates theme, it's paid - $70 but it's easy to work with, easy to customize and they have a great support forum. The other ones worth looking at would be WooThemes and Elegant Themes. I think those are the biggest ones.

Niche marketing all the way. Sub niche suggestions are good. Create 3 assets simultaneously:

    1. Website with great content

    2. Facebook page (not really an asset because you can't sell it, but it can drive a lot of traffic - and it's a great email subscriber magnet

    3. Email list.

Build up all 3 assets at the same time driving fans to your website, which collects emails and earns revenue (ads/affiliate products) and so on.

Scale from there - YouTube, Pinterest, etc. Get as much mileage as you can out of each piece of content you produce.

As far as graphics, I don't think using free graphics from sites that offer them is goign to stop you from making money.

Residual income with higher ticket, backend products is where the big money really is..

Unless you are a guru that launches your own products all the time, there's only so far you can go just promoting tons of different little products.

Having a consistent message being sent to your list that revolves around 1 funnel is what is going to get you a more responsive list, which means more people buy stuff, and you can make money over and over from the same people if you are selling autoship products.

It's getting harder than ever to make it big online, now that Google has rumbled most SEO techniques. I miss the glory days when I could make a 600 word HubPage and it was guaranteed to make $5 a month, seemingly forever.

I'd say you need to focus on useful goods and services.

You could build a list. Read my thread somewhere about how I managed 600 subscribers + 9 OTO sales while "paying" only $30. Maybe this can work for you too.

Then you got some skill here, you are some sort of craiglist expert, i also felt dump in start doing small things, but i had a plan
I had to achieve certain level of money and then invest in big social accounts, already having a lot of followers and then make website's from there

But in the starting stage where i will gather some money i would just start sales thread on different forums, that worked best for me, i would go to freelancer, Odesk, Elance, i wont apply for Job, i would search my keyword, like in your case craiglist, there would be a lot of companies finding some experts, i would give them some good offer and take things from there to next level, building my customers circle..
And by the way i always try to redirect to optin form after successful sale , they will have to fill the required data and of course their email for order to be processed, so i have now list of more than 500 potential buyers, i can make them some new offer bi-monthly and it really goes good..

Promoting well targeted, high-quality, low-gravity ClickBank products to an opt-in list I built by attracting niche-specific traffic through article marketing.

That was after 4 months of failing to do the same thing, because I didn't know what I was doing and got wrong everything other people can possibly get wrong and more besides: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post8532320

I understand the desire for multiple sources of income, but I think it pays to start with one.

One of the features common to many methods of making money online is that the relationship between "work/time/energy/skills put in" and "profit taken out" is a non-linear one. In the early stages of everything, you do most and earn least. Trying to use different methods at the same time disappoints most people because they never get as far with anything as the stages where you do least and earn most. Starting off with multiple methods can therefore be seriously handicapping yourself. And when you're dealing with fields of activity with low overall success-rates, that's exactly the opposite of what you might want to be doing.

Not only that, but it isn't really building a "business", either: direct-linking is a continuing series of "hit and run activities", in a sense. It's what some people (quite understandably) call a "rinse and repeat business model". That's often a bad thing, not a good thing.

I wouldn't. I think it will significantly reduce your chances of ever building a real, asset-based business.

Why? (I want to make as few as I need to build my income-generating sources securely, not as many as I can.)

I wouldn't know. I've never had 100 websites and I've never used social media.

Woo, Alexa you mellowed me out. Thank you for that. The most frustrating thing is going to school full-time currently while doing this. I am 26 and still don't have my Associates so i am in full throttle lol

I hear you there ... I started internet marketing at the start of my second year of college, and could spend less time on it then than I can manage now. Still, it can be done. Good luck and good wishes.

I started off with a cheap offer that I could convert quickly, this created fast income I could use for advertising. Once I didn't need those offers anymore I concentrated on my main business. I still have the cheap offers for those that want to get going but have little to no money, but I don't market them anymore. I reserve them individual people as I come into contact with them.

  • I make good amounts doing Amazon, infact great amounts. But what has really pushed my income sky-high is moving into the mobile space! Check it out if you want to get in on something whilst it's only just growing. I'm near hitting my goal of $10k a day! I will crack it soon, can feel it!

I know the feeling my friend! Going to school and starting an online business.

I'll tell you this much from my experience: I used to create CL ads and send CPA offers even affiliate offers but it's just not sustainable unless you have outsourcers posting ads for you every day.

Not to mention the traffic on classifieds is pretty low-quality.

I would suggest creating your own product or starting to build a list from the traffic you are already getting rather than direct-linking cpa offers.

You could even market cpa offers to that list, but at least you will be building an actual asset rather than a bunch of 1 shot money grabs.
