Do I need 100s of niche websites for affiliate?

As the titles says, do I need to create multiple websites for every niche for affiliate website for Amazon?

Or would it be better to one website but with categories of similar niche?

It depends on the value of the content. You can do both approaches. But at the end of the day, it is all about the VALUE to the end user.

It depends on your own skills and knowledge, what you're trying to do, whether you're trying to sell other, non-Amazon things at the same time, and what sort of business model you adopt.

There are countless complications, considerations and ramifications ... so much so that your "bare question" is almost unanswerable, in itself, I'm afraid.

For example, there's a place for Amazon affiliate "gift sites" which have hundreds of items available, but there's also a place for highly targeted, subject-specific sites with very few, closely related items (maybe even with only one item!). It depends on what sort of traffic you want to attract and what kind of relationships (if any) you want to have with your potential customers, and on many other things.

I wouldn't think so, in principle (and I don't), but there really isn't a single "right answer" to your question.

Thank you both for the great replies.

I guess you are right. It depends what readers I would like to have.
I think the single niche sites will have less updates compared to a bigger blog.
Also the downside to niche sites I will need to purchase a lot of domains.

Just find a broad(ish) niche (examples here) then you can drill-down to separate mini-niches.

Like buy ceramic-tiles.com and have a section for bathrooms, kitchens etc.

The method of "100s of niche websites" is not effective, you will spend $10 x 100 domain names = $1,000 for a year. And hard to manage them.

I suggest you build 1 - 10 websites for promoting Amazon's products. Each website is one niche and you can put hundreds of products or keyphrases.

Don't use free platform such as blogspot for the Amazon.

I think it totally depends on your end goals. If you are looking to rank& sell the sites go for snipers, if you want a real business go for a broader authority site. Both can be lots of work, but also both is achievable.

Just think what niche interests you most and stay there. And don't forget there are more possibilities than just Amazon!

I would think of the user. You want to provide value to them landing on your site. Do not just spam them with amazon products/reviews on your niche. Provide value along with promoting your products.

    You will be successful!

You needn't to create multiple websites for every niche as a affiliate of Amazon Prodcut. But it would be really work better for you, if you create a website each niche of your choise.
People likes it, if they have the feeling that the website owner has knowledge of these Product. every one knows there is a amazon site with great product, but they search for websites, to get to know if there is somebody who ahs experince with it, or can provide valuable content according to the Product. nichespecific webiste with great helpful content are loved by google and buyers.

I think this is the most important thing - is to provide valuable content for the visitor for success in the long term.

Thanks for all the great replies!

However if I choose a broader niche and have subcategories for those. Wouldn't my website not rank high and hence no traffic?

      Hi alvinhy,

It is not an issue if you have a broader niche and have subcategories for those. You can divide those by pages and of course you can rank it separately (every niche main pages) with different keywords.

Some good advice here. I think you should build a portfolio of websites earning money, which is what I am doing.

My current project involves building 10 websites making at least £300 per month, per site and then once I have these making money I will be focusing on an authority website.

If you can have many different sources of income coming in, you have much more safety from Google updates. So if 1 site tanked for any reason then you have 9 still bringing in income.

Many people and also myself should not be using just Google as our traffic and money source because its so dam risky but its soo dam profitable!!

Try to use Youtube and many other ways to drive traffic.

This is my plan and it's currently going well. Hope it helps.

I would not recommend having lots and lots of websites because it will become a pain to manage.

If you are doing it yourself, probably the best idea will be to focus on one site. If you end up buying multiple domains without a proper plan, there is more chance that, it's all going to be wasted, unless you have people ready to get those sites up and running for you. I recently created a video for a similar question here in the forum which I hope will be helpful.
