Membership Site Question: Pay First, Then Sign Up Or Sign Up First?

Hi Warriors,

Just a quick question for how I should set up a monthly membership site I'm building.

Should I have the customer go to Clickbank and pay first and then be sent back to my site to create their username or password?

Or should I have them create their account and then send them to Clickbank?

Any advantages to either approach?

  • you can set up clickbank so it will pass the user information to your 'thankyou' page.

    You can take that info and automaticly add them to your database using a randomly generated password that gets emailed to them...

    or just take that info CB passes, and use it to pre-populate the sign-up form to your site - all they have to do is provide a password.
  • How about creating an account for them first, and they can use this account for free for 2 or 3 days and then charging them ...
