a little Ot but a good question anyway

Hi, I've got a domain name I really like and I'm building a website around it. I can't afford yet to buy all the similar domain names, ie /net or .org and name variations so I'd like not to attract too much attention to the .com name until I can really protect it.
The question is, is there a way to operate a website showing a dummy name or 'non de plume' url to visiting the public in their url bar.
thanks Roger

while you could use a tinyurl service or something similar, but in the end, if someone wants to find out the real domain, they'll be able to.

You'll need to still use the real domain, to load images and pages etc. You can mask the main url in the browser, but that is about it.
