You've come to the right place.

Spend some time watching, learning, reading and getting a feel for this site.

The tendency for new people entering Internet Marketing is to be pulled in by all the hype and fluff surrounding fast, easy, simple money by just clicking a few buttons.

Don't fall for it. Hang on to your money while you learn to distinguish the real meat here on the forum from all the BS and hype that is also here.

    The very best to you,

Good advice here. Stay away from the latest shiny new objects while you learn and as you implement a strategy you've chosen. Like anything worthwhile it takes hard work and as the old saying says "If it looks to good to be true it probably is."

Brilliant advice steve. Great job. I wish I'd heard this before I started buying all the shiny new objects. That said, I did stumble across a couple of gems and there is a useful learning curve that you don't realize necessarily going through when you're ploughing through emails and halfbaked products. It's like involuntary market research.

I am now please to say I have come through this stage unscathed, by which I mean still motivated and not jaded my IM. I am now working with an excellent mentor and blogging about the whole experience. Which in itself is way better than blogging about a niche you don't really care for no matter how hard you try to pretend you do.

Great advice Steve. Yes, I think it is worth stating that twice.

    Welcome to the Warrior Forum!

Affiliate marketing (promoting other people's products and services) offers anyone the opportunity to earn excellent money online, and can be achieved inexpensively if done correctly. There is a science behind it, and if you can solve people's problems in some way (maybe with your medical knowledge) you're half way there.

The best place to start is choosing a 'niche' you are passionate about (or at least familiar with) and determine:

    "What is that audiences problem/needs?"

Then find (ethical) means to market viable solutions (*affiliate products/services) to that audience, and earn commissions when you do this successfully.

While it's not rocket science, you'd be surprised how many 'wanna-be' marketing millionaires fail to 'conceive' this basic formula!

Also, know your 'objectives' before getting started... if you want more free time, money, etc... remember learning to master the web takes both time and money. So don't shoot yourself in the foot by 'expecting' success to come without the investment of time and some money well spent... anyone suggesting it's an overnight, push-button, done-for-you business, is NOT providing 'ethical' solutions or solving anyone's problems.

There is a lot of brilliant people here... take the time to find people who are succeeding at what you want to do online, and learn what they did (?) and what they are doing (?) to formulate your own recipe(s) for success.

    Best wishes,

Totally agree. Probably the best start is Affiliate Marketing.
To avoid much of the techie stuff, you could start with a Wordpress.org site or blog (not Wordpress.com).

There's still a lot to learn, but finding the right guides can help.

A lot of them live here on the Warrior Forum.

I've even posted a new thread for help today, and I'm sure I'll gett some helpful replies.

Use the WF, but don't live here too long, too often.

      Good luck with your venture.

      Now go find that niche!

      UPDATE:

I have already got the answers I need, thanks to two Warriors.

      That's what it's all about.

        Right here Sue.

Don't jump onto shiny objects after shiny objects.

Assess how you can put your experience to play.

If you happen to find a product that helps in that
respect, and you decide to get it, stick with it.

At least until you make some money consistently.

    Create clickbank product review videos.
    Upload them to youtube.
Rank them in google using SEO tools like GSA.

Works and is an easy way to get started for beginners.

Hey first off welcome to the warrior forum. I have learn a lot here and is still learning so you are at the right place. First thing first there is no magic products that will get you rich overnight.....Think of business as long term and don't try to make quick cash as you should build an empire. Next make sure to keep focus and consistent...Lastly if you can afford it get a mentor to show you what steps you need to take to reach your goals.

Starting out I would consider writing ebooks for the Kindle marketplace on Amazon.com. Look up Kindle on the Warriorforum search for more information and perhaps buy one of the higher rated Kindle WSOs in the Warrior Special Offers forum. As long as you find a subject matter people are interested in, have a targeted keyword book title and well written sales copy, you have a good chance of receiving ongoing royalties from Amazon for years to come. Amazon generates the traffic, takes care of orders and refunds so you don't have to deal with any of that. You could even hire someone to write that ebook for you if you don't have the desire or time. https://kdp.amazon.com/self-publishing/signin

Welcome to the forum. It seems like everyone has a different opinion about what you can get started with. You have to see which one works best for your situation. The first money I ever made online was through fiverr. Now I blog and teach others how to make money through blogging.

Someone who does it says offering a service is the fastest way to make money online. If you have nursing skills you may be able to write articles on health care etc - or on a hobby or another interest if you know much about something. Places such as elance and guru.com bring together those who need articles etc with those who can provide them....Articles would be quicker to write than an ebook for kindle.

I always recommend that new people start with a small WP blog about something you are interested in while learning things you need to know for the future.

Once you are confident enough to start talking like this on the forums, you're ready to take the next steps.

If you're a nurse then you already have at least one potential market you can get started with. Before setting up a blog or anything, it would be a good idea to do some research and see which of the topics or niches you prefer would be most appealing.

After finding something you like that has the potential of becoming profitable, you could start blogging about it and then try to monetize your blog using affiliate programs that closely target the niche in question.

have you decided what you are good at yet?
This should be the starting point.
Once you have read and got informed about what IM really is about, think about your abilities and skills. Are you good at writing? Are you creative? Are you keen on certain topics? make a list and then go on reading on WF more.
    Good luck :-)

Dear, my advice should be start with Product Launch to earn some quick cash, then invest on list building. (Probably, you should read a lot to learn about all these things), but it's the way I've been so far and get some success.
    Good luck!

If you are assuming you will work less in IM than in a 9 to 5 job forget it. The only benefit of IM is that you can work from home, but you still need to work and a lot harder. This is might not apply to you, but I bet most people spend 20% of more surfing the internet at work - can't do that working for yourself.

You don't gain time working in IM - at least not for several years until you have a strong infrastructure built or a big list. What you do gain is knowing that all the hard work is yours to keep and you are not doing it all for some company.

So prepare for the above, but when you actually start making money it is a really cool feeling. I remembered when I got my first clicks on AdSense - they were 4 x $3 clicks on an 5 page education exact match domain site so that was $12. I think I cried cause I was like this works! (That approach doesn't work anymore, but at least I proved to myself I could make money).

    Good luck!

    Minjasue,

Find a business model and niche that suits your personality and then stick with it for 90 days.... no matter what! It's incredibly easy to get sidetracked with all the hype and different methods to make money. Stay focused and you won't wind up spinning your wheels.

You are a nurse and I guess you have a wealth of information up your sleeve that ordinary people with health problems would gladly pay for.

I would definitely suggest researching this .. find those people and market your knowledge to them either through your own product/ ebook or as an affiliate earning commissions.

If you can afford to, set up a self hosted wordpress blog and write something every day and build up a following .. then you can begin to market to them.... alternatively, you could start a "lense" for free on squidoo and do the same thing.

Do a search on the w. forum and you will find a wealth of information .. but choose one method and stick to it until you see success, don't keep trying different methods until you have mastered one.

First I would like to tell that you have just started on the right place. You can start by promoting ClickBank product by forum posting.

I would like to tell that most of the people fail to make money online is when they don't implement what they learn. Don't spend too much time learning. Spend most of ur time online implementing & U will sure make money online. GOOD LUCK.

If you're a nurse, I would guess you might have a little money to invest. My suggestion would be to look into Kindle. Get it outsourced, or do some of the work yourself. Long term, it would just be about managing it. It's not a quick, overnight fix, but definitely an investment for your future that could seriously free up your time.

I take it that you don't have too much money to spend.

Learn about everything first. Use that big green thing called Google, and this awesome red thing called "Warrior Forum."

Create a blog. Generate traffic. Monetize.

The main thing to do is: start. If you sit and 'learn' for too long, you'll find that yourself 'learning' for two years with zero result.

As Nike would say, JUST DO IT!
