Could I earn money for my blog?

Hello,
my name is Daniel Kim, and I have been writing my blog for about three years now. I get about 400 people per day for traffic. If I could make money, how much would i get, and what should I improve to get more traffic?
my blog is www.dailyopinioninternational.com

Could you give me different design changes I could make??
Thank you,
Daniel

Daniel you blog is great, and you can earn money with the help of your blog. Create Adsense account in Google and verify your website and post ads in your web pages. In online market, their is other website who provides the ads.

At the same time you have to work on to increase the traffic of website, traffic increases with the help of SEO. I suggested find high quality top 30 bookmarking sites and submit your every post these bookmarking sites. Also promote in social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, GooglePlus etc.

    Hi Daniel,

Like the other warriors have said adsense is a good start.

Another easy thing to do is hire out your sidebar for advertisements, just make another page with prices and payment buttons so other bloggers in your niche can buy the advertising space off you.

Great blog you got there. I agree with them, you can earn from adsense. You can also try creating ebooks that you can sell to your readers.

Don't do adsense. Since your blog does not have a unified theme, chances are high that yojr adsense will pull up low cost ads. Instead, get an autoresponder accpunt and build many specific niche mailing lists. Have these lead to specific OTOs. Sell ad blasts or send specific cpa offers.

Has no one on the Warrior Forum heard of interest-based advertising? Google is one step ahead of you. The guy needs to do AdSense first. Then, he can plug in and try some other stuff as he goes along.

OP, as far as what you would earn, it's hard to say. But based on your current traffic, I would guess you would make less than $500 per month with AdSense even if you use proper ad placement. You'll need more traffic if you want to make a solid income.

  • I agree with Adsense. Can you give something away for free to help increase your list growth? Something related to your niche. Then market to your list.

It looks your blog adds value so if you if you can add value to your list you should develop some nice relationships.

Nice site. I'd start out with adsense. It is something you can get started with quickly and start to earn some money on it. Then I'd start exploring other options like selling adverts, getting an email list etc.
You need to understand who is visiting you're site to determine what will work best for the site

    Cool content.

A few things you might consider:

    1) Begin promoting your email list more aggressively.

    2) Begin promoting your social media more aggressively.

    3) Begin monetizing more aggressively.

Traditional blogs are usually not optimal platforms for random op-ed type content of this length. Anytime readers have to keep scrolling down for the content (and then clicking for the next page on top of that), you run the risk of losing them with each piece they are not interested in. You may want to explore a news site design where everything is niched out.

You'll never earn much money from this site as-is.

    Hello Daniel,

One thing that might help is finding a good affiliate program. You look like you enjoy writing about airlines, there are several programs related to the travel industry. (example cruisedirect.com for cruises). It wouldn't take many sales to make your blog profitable.

But first step (as mentioned before) I would recommend moving away from the blogger platform.

First of all you have a pretty good looking blog. But I recommend that you get on wordpress because that will make your site look better. The best way to monetize your traffic is to run ads and/or promote products in your niche. Even if its a book and you do a short review on it. With the traffic you are getting you can make a lot of money! Only if you implement the certain strategies.

I agree with getting your own WordPress.org site and with comments that your content is good.

However, you don't really have a cohesive topic. That's fine if you blog for fun with no intention to make money, but if you want to make money, it might be good to tighten up the theme among your posts.

One idea I had when reading 4 posts is you could continue writing about companies and brands as you do but add a little more investigative work and make it a blog for investors who like information on companies. The stock investor market is huge and there are some fantastic affiliate opportunities. Adsense pays well also.

You would need to spend time researching companies and reading financial reports (not hard to do) and then publishing similarly as you're doing.

For example, your airlines analysis is both informative and funny. That could provide insight for investors with some more data.

Another example is the ketchup post - you could add analysis how the McDonald's/Heins situation may impact both company's bottom lines.

Definitely include disclaimers on your site. Provide facts, data and opinion - you write well so I could see you could build up an audience.

As mentioned above, you could restrict the business concept to one industry such as airlines and really go deep.

I see a lot of peeps recommending adsense and I dont have any experience with it but I do know it takes a lot of clicks to make good money with adsense. I would suggest to you two things that I think would help. Change the copy above your opt-in box and offer some sort of bribe for people to join your list. Then you could mail out affiliate offers to them or relevant cpa offers even depending on the demographic.

Also, I think you should start thinking about creating your own products and/or selling out ad space in your sidebar to other bloggers. If you are getting 400 visits a day then you can plug in a banner there for a month, see how many clicks it gets, and then sell out ad space with the price proportionate to that amount of clicks.
