WordPress Creating New User

Hey guys,

I have a really easy question. So once you hire a web developer to start putting together your new wordpress website. So I assume I need to make him a new user name right?

Now when you make the user name, do I make him as an 'administrator'?
What role should I pick?

Also, what do I put for his email address? Should I put mine or should I put his email in that section under adding new user name?

    Yep, you should create a new user account for the developer.

    Unless he's solely a content provider, "Administrator" would likely be the most applicable choice. Once his job is complete, you can remove the user account.

    I would use my own email address in the account.

    Yep, he will need to be admin if he is developing the site. As posted above, just remove that user when the job is done.

    administrator but use security as well such as "3 login attempts" or "specific ip login" . when he's finished, remove that account

      Oh wow thank you so much.

      How come these oDeskers, and you hire them for a new WordPress website job, install my theme and make it custom to my website. They want ftp access?
      Is that ok to give them ftp access on host gator? After they are done, just change the password right?

      Its interesting I have put up other wordpress sites, I just do it all on wordpress.
