Product Recommendations in Autoresponder? (Good or Bad Idea?)

I'm working on my autoresponder to get ready for a flood of new subscribers from a product launch I'll be doing in my niche.

After my "Thanks for Joining" initial email, I have 4 messages in my autoresponder so far. I'm going to build that up to at least 7 before my launch.

All my autoresponders are working to deliver valuable free information in the niche, and build trust and a relationship with my list.
I'm usually getting 33-40% open rates on them, as well as my regular emails.
(I only have 47 subscribers so far, though.)

Anyways, here's my question:

How about putting my affiliate product recommendations into the autoresponder after my first 7 relationship building emails?

Is this a good or bad thing to do?

I'm considering doing this because it will make my email market much more on autopilot.

Please share your thoughts and opinions, I appreciate every helpful reply.
Thank you!

It's definitely a good idea. Promote something that can help your buyers build on what you teach in your product and you'll have great conversions.

Up selling your lists is always good. Just don't put too many links in there because then you'll get a flood of people unsubscribing.

As long as your links are niche specific I don't see why people wouldn't click on them Use something like bit.ly to track how many people are clicking the links so you can split test links.
