Free resource help needed

Hello

I am preparing the free give away guide for my new site. While doing this I would like to give something that is of value without adding lots of unneeded fluff. As it is I can see my free offering being around 3 A4 pages long. Does the length really matter as long as the content is of value?

I was also wondering also, what do you guys do about graphics (for the cover). I can create my own and they arn't bad at all but what do you do?

I won't be selling anything in the freebie at all but was going to add links to articles in my website. I don't see a problem with this but again guidance would be good.

Thanks

The length does matter in relationship to the amount of content and in relationship to the amount of overhead page. The content you are giving away needs to be a couple of times more pages than the title page, resource page copyright disclaimer page.

So if you are giving away 3 or 4 pages of content, that is probably not enough. If you are linking to articles on your site, if you link to them in context in the middle of the pages of your giveaway book, that can work.

it can also work if you have a multiple links in your book which go to a single page on your site where you have a list of great content pieces on your site. Like a "best of my site" list.

Then you also get the advantage of having some logical internal links on your site.

Thanks, and so the learning continues.... resource page, copyright disclaimer page... I hadn't even thought about these yet :-)... Any samples to look at :-)

The links to my site would only be used and included in text if relevant and also adding to the piece.

My books have a title page, a page that says stuff like this on it, depending on what market I am writing in

        "All rights reserved.
No part of this publication may be copied, reproduced in any format, by any means, electronic or otherwise, without prior consent from the copyright owner and publisher of this book. With the exception of short quotes for review or recommendation purposes only.
This work is for entertainment purposes only. No guarantee is expressed or implied that anyone will be able to change their life by following the program in this book. Neither the author nor publisher is a spiritual counselor, clergy person, financial advisor or helping professional. All results are the results of your own efforts and in fact you may not receive any results at all. It is with this understanding that you read and apply the teachings in this book and understand and agree that neither the author nor publisher is in any way responsible for your results. If you do not agree to those terms, you must immediately stop using this work."

I have language about spiritual counseling in it because my market is personal development but yours could be about whatever your market is.

Then you can have a page about you as the author, and depending on the length of your book a foreword like an introduction, and at the end a resource page.

So you've got some overhead pages that are good to include, and add some additional professional looking parts to your book.

Give away something simple, easy and actionable. If possible.

Generally a solution to a simple problem always works or a step by step method that solves something. It might be also a killer tip, whatever.

The length is totally up to you and i cant tell cause i don't know what you are creating. But in the specific case, doesnt really matter if you provide a quality guide. One day i have downloaded a report, it was 2/3 pages long and it was about a killer tip to skyrocket your traffic with Eza. The method explained took just 2/3 pages.

Make your ebook stand out from the crowd with a good ecover. If you know photoshop you can create it by yourself or here theres a pretty cool tool you can use to create one(free):

ecover design - design it yourself online

...or you can always hire a graphic designer.

Create a compelling headline for your squeeze page. You'll need to focus on driving traffic to it.

          Some ideas:

          -facebook ads
          -solo mails
          -paid traffic/media buys
          -social media marketing
          -video marketing
          -buysellads.com
