Good Niches for Christmastime?

by jungl

This Halloween, I made some nice income from Halloween costume niche websites focusing on specific characters/movies. I'm interested in getting into the Christmas market while there's still time (I set up the sites in just a few days and since the niches were small they ranked in less than 2 days).
I target small niches with 1000-2000 monthly searches and especially ones that tie into films or other promoted products. Does anyone have any suggestions for products/niches to promote?
Thanks!

Anything related to hot video games.

Or...If you want a small niche again, then try an ebook for, " Holiday depression leading to Elf substance abuse."

I saw a link to a guide to making bucks with niche websites on Kindle:

[Kindle eBook] Pick up my latest guide to ranking, and banking from niche websites on Kindle at Amazon.com: How to Create $1600 per Month Niche Websites for Passive Income eBook: Alex Hedley: Kindle Store

    Look familiar?

Your Halloween success helped you identify people interested enough in certain things to want to dress up like them. I'm guessing that they didn't suddenly lose all interest on November 1...

Sorry, but how is that at all related? The reason I have success in internet marketing is because I ask for help on this forum and others and have had many people help me along the way. If you had actually read the eBook you would see that the niches are not holiday related, and if you're interested in seeing proof of my income, I'd be happy to PM you.
If Warriors would learn that asking for help doesn't make you a noob, but someone who's interested in improving their income maybe you'd get a bit further. I also have a steady Kindle income of over $1500 a month including borrows for my books, and I learned a lot of those techniques from this forum.
Try providing value instead of attacking people for asking questions next time.

        Hi,

Toys and games are hot for Christmas and the craze continues all through to the new year and beyond. So look for the hottest toys for 2013 and build your campaigns around them. Jenni Hunt is one creative marketer who specializes in identifying hot selling toys. Not sure if she is here in the forum. She has a product that related to the hottest toys for the season that is released around Christmas time.

        Hope that helps.

        Thanks

I'd suggest focusing on games and toys - they tend to be some of the hottest sellers. You can also look into electronics but it seems like a lot of people buy them before Christmas on Black Friday.

Unusual and quirky gifts can sell well around Christmas. Novelty items - the sort of things people give to their work colleagues in a 'Secret Santa'. People like to buy gifts that are funny and unusual, but not too expensive.

You can also make some AMAZING earnings in the hypnotherapy niche just after Christmas. I rake i the cash every year from this. People want to lose weight and quit smoking in their millions around the world, and hypnotherapy is a popular choice to help them.

Anything you can relate back to children and specific age groups (toddlers, kids, teens, etc); to hot product groups (ie, the new Playstation just came out); or to unique groups (office workers, etc).

Video Games, Video Games, Video Games!!

There are 4 video games on the market right now that get a combined monthly search volume over 1,500,000 searches.

Couple the sales commissions on those games with the high commission affiliates for Walk through/ Strategy guides and you have a gold mine!

Then add in all the downloadable content (DLC) extras and things start getting ridiculous.

    Weight Loss

With the influx of all of the 'new years resolutioners' going to the gym, there's always going to be a ton of people looking for a routine / diet plan.

Heck, they'll always be looking for that anyway

Weight loss seems like a massive niche though, and all of my big successes in terms of setting up niche websites have been from smaller, more targeted niches where you aren't going up against massive corporations. There might be some interested subniches here though so I'll look out for any.

I have a toy site that has been doing well since I put it up a few years ago. I created the site at the end of October and was SHOCKED to see how well it did in those few months. The funny thing is that it makes money year round.

I looked into video games before, but pretty lousy commission on them... game info guides have a much better commission but, not quite the volume of game sales.

I don't know you from Adam's off ox, so all I can go by is what I see on the screen.

And what I saw was an anonymous poster with a sig link to a book about making money with niche websites asking for help in choosing a niche. I've no interest in either reading your book or seeing any "proof" you might want to offer.

Try not looking like just another clueless newb asking how to do the very thing they are trying to position themselves as authorities in.

As the bard said, "methinks thou dost protest too much..."

Besides, I did offer you value. Read the last sentence again in my post. If you weren't so busy being insulted, you'd have seen it.

Novelty USB hubs used to do quite well for me until I got much harder to rank Amazon related keywords. There's one shaped like an Octopus which is very cute.

    Three I can think of:

    1) CPA offers for gift cards or payday loans
    2) Black Friday themed sites with product listings from Amazon
    3) Make money offers for people who need more money for Xmas presents
