Required Skills to be Successful at IM

There are a gamut of things that you could possibly do, but irrespective of how hard you try there will be somebody who does it better and cheaper than you. So while I completely believe you need to pick a skill, use it to make money, I would urge you to move away from trading your time for money as soon as you can. Pick one thing that you think you can easily master and then use that to get in some revenue...and then build from there.

Training, Structure, and Tools... I completely agree are essential to achieve success in any field, be it business or achieving personal success.

But, I disagree YOU CAN'T BUY PASSION! - I have owned and operated several successful businesses online and off, and NEVER had to pay someone to teach me what my "PASSION" was...

Secondly, it is important to invest both time and money into ones business, and depending upon the business you're in, you may need to pay for some education or pursue that of a mentor, but that's entirely up to you! - I never really did, instead, I studied what other successful marketers were doing & selling, and crafted my own recipes. (*Mainly learned right here on the WF for FREE!!!)

Lastly, there are plenty of successful marketers here that generate massive revenues through FREE resources such as YouTube, Social Media, and Article Syndication utilizing.... existing traffic!

So, be it the sole expression of others that you have to BUY success, I say that's complete and utter Bullsh!t!

Ultimately, if you can find a way to be of benefit to others, and solve their problems or provide comfort, relief, or direct them to that which they seek successfully... You're There!

Stepping out in front of "TRAFFIC" is the most effective way to do this, if you know your consumers needs, and can DIRECT them accordingly... it does not mean you have to buy your traffic, or study under some guru, or buy an expensive paid training course.

I see college degree holders working at Mickey D's, and yet I have a seventh grade education, and my passion is DEFYING the NORMS!

Naturally, 'paid traffic' can be one of the fastest ways to convert targeted buyers, but the best way is to know "What your offering, to whom, and how to 'persuade' them (or compell them) to achieve their end goal?

This can be done for FREE all day long, with great marketing and copywriting skills!

Hence, it's really more about "Your Audience" than it is "You or Yourself!" - and it helps if you like the business (niche) you choose to promote.

Pursue what you are passionate about, and steer clear of naysayers, who buy their acclaim!

It is only through trying stuff out and perseverance that you find out what works and what doesn't. You need to learn to focus and not be distracted by the next shiny new object that comes through inbox.
