Clickbank: Where do they source Before/After photos?

Almost everyone (even the buyers) know that a certain amount of the Before/After photos for fitness products are generally fake, or else real but not associated with that product they're beside, however, they do add a nice touch.

On stock image websites it says that you can not display the photos (even after purchasing them) in a way that makes it look like the person or people in the photo(s) are promoting or advocating the service. On top of this there aren't many stock images of that nature anyway.

With regard to the product owners (not all of them but some), do they just take them from google images and tweak them a bit? Thanks.

My guess is they find them on google and make them part of the website so that they don't show up if dropped into google images.

Wait a minute...how do we "know" that they are fake? There are usually less than a dozen people who are used in the before/after shots of major products like those done up by beachbody. Why would they need to fake them?

Also, have you ever seen the image of the same person promoting different products with their before/after shots?

I have in the past copped images been used in 2-3 places. In fact months back I remember seeing a product that was supposed to have caused "muscle gains and fat loss" that used a before/after from another product that was for "toning after weight loss" completely different products.

But I was just wondering what the usual approach to making this section is.

I know this might sound totally crazy, but.. why don't you actually find people that can follow your system; and once they get the results, ask if you can use them to advocate your product (with pictures).

Of course, in an ideal world that is what people would do, they don't.

If you want to stay on top of the law then you should not be using any photos that are not actually direct results from the program you are selling.

It doesn't matter what others are doing. Other people also rob banks and sell drugs. It doesn't mean I would do it.

I promote fitness products and go with merchants who are trainers and who have real clients with plenty of real before and after images. I buy the products as well (as much for personal use as professional promotion) and the top merchants ask immediately for before and after images offering bonuses like free t-shirts, etc.

Therefore, the more popular fitness merchants are using real before/after images of their clients.

What you could do is offer a product for free or super cheap to some people and ask that they provide before/after images for a bonus. You only need a few to get the ball rolling. Also, if you've transformed your own body, use your own images.

Many merchants just show images of their awesome body as the sales image which works sufficiently.

I wouldn't use fake images at all because that's just asking for trouble.
