What Amazon & Squidoo WSO can you recommend?

Hey there!

So I decided to give affiliate marketing and Squidoo a go!

Now, I've been wondering for quite a while... What WSO should I purchase regarding Amazon & Squidoo? There are a few out there but I'm not sure which one is the best...

Can anyone here recommend a specific one that he tried or heard good things about?

Thanks!

~ Dave

    Hey Dave

I would recommend building a website on your own domain and not using any kind of free host. If your just getting started in affiliate marketing I would recommend reading all the information on this forum first and signing up to the war room and it has a lot of free courses for beginners.

I think perhaps you are making a mistake when you consider Squidoo today for anything.

On top of that I can't see it as wise to link Squidoo with Amazon affiliate marketing. Squidoo is not the platform to get started with.

Perhaps it would be best to spend some time browsing thru affiliate marketing posts here in the Warrior Forum.

    I can't I'm afraid.

I'd also recommend you buy your own hosting and domain rather than building a site on a platform you neither own nor control.

Not sure who has been filling your head with all that Squidoo nonsense but it is not a viable business and at best in its hay day was a good way of making a supplementary income.

As others have mentioned set something up on something you own namely a website.

Easy Paycheck Formula 2 by Sara Young involves Squidoo. It has very good feedback and is pretty new.

I agree this is a good course to get started with on Squidoo. But it is much harder than it used to be. You'd be better off learning how to build your own site and getting that ranked or find other ways to get traffic to your site.

In answer to your original question about using Squidoo to promote amazon products, I would recommend "RAM Method" by PotPiegirl & "Easy Paycheck Formula II" by Sara Young.

I bought both of those and they are of superior quality.

Personally I'm not too crazy about investing a lot of time making Squidoo sites, however it's a good start for learning.

    Dave,

If you search the forum you'll find several threads regarding other members having their Squidoo lenses locked, many for no apparent reason. Many of these individuals have done everything according to Squidoo's terms of service, but had their lenses shut down anyway. Most of them lost all of their content as a result.

As others have recommended, I also highly recommend that you only build on property that you OWN first! If you own the domain you're in control of the property (as long as you keep up with your renewal fees).

Select a niche, buy a good domain name that's relevant to the niche, find cheap hosting and build a site on either Wordpress.org (not .com!) or build an html site.

Most people I know now use Wordpress. It has multiple benefits not offered with html and gives you the freedom to login to your blog and work from practically anywhere. There are many, many videos on how to properly set up a Wordpress site at YouTube.com that you can watch for free.

    HTH,

    Joe

There is already some good free guides on warrior forum, great conversation on the threads.
Secondly, squdoo is outdated. Look for your own domain where you can build a good authority.
