the question are they looking for that domain. I understand there is money to made in domain squatting, but I personally don't do it because you may have to sit on hundreds of domains for a very long time which can get expensive. Most hosting companies will give parties that are intereted in parked domains an option to contact the owner if they want to buy it

Talk to an attorney to make sure you are not breaking any copyright laws, then contact a domain broker.

It just depends on if they are satisfied with their current domain or not. They still might buy it from you even if they are satisfied, however.

But I just looked them up, and they own LXYGlobal.com, which matches their name exactly, so I'm thinking no, they won't be interested. You can still try though, just in case.

Cybersquatting (also known as domain squatting), according to the United States federal law known as the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act, is registering, trafficking in, or using an Internet domain name with bad faith intent to profit from the goodwill of a trademark belonging to someone else. The cybersquatter then offers to sell the domain to the person or company who owns a trademark contained within the name at an inflated price.

In other words if your going to own a website own the trademark too. But honestly I really hate cybersquatters. mostly because they are not original thinkers and taking advantage of starting businesses. Its a shady practice and I think after the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act, cybersquatting will be a thing of the past "I hope."

I would suggest you contact Adam Dicker, one of the most well known in the field of high end domain sales. Adam Dicker - The Art of Flipping Domains for 6, 7 and 8 Figures | Weird Entrepreneurs

If he responds back to you, you have a potential high end domain name he can broker. Meaning he does all the work and gets a percentage.

The price of a domain name, as with anything, is the perceived value. One person may think it's worthless while another may think it is worth many thousands.

      X2

Stop cyber squatting, bro. Do some real work. Put some of those domains to good use. You could have a few goldmines just needing a little work but instead you're looking for a quick cheque because you claimed a domain name first. I hope you know domain squatting is dying because EMDs are no longer a huge deal. There's still a slight bonus but it's never worth the money some of you squatters want to charge.

Plus they never use the acronym on their site. It's always "LXY Global". If they used the acronym sometimes, your chances of having their interest would be much higher.

It doesn't matter that they do not use LXYG or brand themselves that way. Depending on the company they may use it to simply redirect to the main website or as a shortener for their own purposes.

Best to use a broker if you do not have experience approaching companies.

And this is not an example of cybersquatting. Domain speculation is a different thing.

I think they will buy due to similarity
Show them a report from GoogleKeywordPlannerTool for how much people are searching for LXYG on google...if the numbers will be High I think that ot will convince them to buy

I'd simply contact the company and let them know the domain is for sale, and if they are interested to make you an offer.

It's not threatening at all and you may be surprised at what they come back with.
