How to change hosting?

I purchased a domain name from Namecheap and hosting from another company, about a month ago.

Now, I want to change my hosting company, what details will I need to do this?

Please let me know.

Thank you and regards

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Thank you so much, but I do not want Hostgator, so will this work with other hosting companies too? Thanks again. Regards

Tell the host you want to migrate.
    Who was the old host?
    And the new?
If both are cPanel, migrating is easy for them to do.

That Hostgator migration guide is a joke.

    Sorry found that first.
Same basic steps for all hosts, a good provider should also move your sites over to their servers for free.
All you have to do is provide them with your login details and once everything is moved you login to your Registrar account and change over the DNS's...

    - Most hosting providers, currently, are happily to migrate you sites from old host to them (cPanel to cPanel); just ask them for free migration, they will tell you the instruction.
After that, you just change the DNS to your new host name servers, you'll get it from your new host.

    - Alternatively, if you're using WordPress, you could use this plugin or others similar plugins and follow their instruction.

    - Another one solution is to do it manually by backing up you site's files and folders using FTP. Also, export you databases, too if you have ones. More steps involved!

I just wanna tell you that most of the links in the signature are trash and/or a trap to make you pay!

Today is the last date for my old hosting and I am worried that they will block my site or any other such thing when they want to know I want to change my host.

That is why I need to know what details the new hosting company will require, to be able to transfer my hosting.

I have not decided which host to move to, perhaps it will be Godaddy but not sure.

You have left this a bit late but anyway:
If you have not cancelled with your current host it normally takes a few days before access to your cpanel is suspended.
Get a good new host ASAP and follow the instructions in the link i gave you or simply ask your new host what they need to migrate your site/sites.
I don't know what else to say, you should have all the info you need...

Ive used Stabelhost and KVC Hosting both good.

I know that I left it late, but the reason for this is that I did not know that I am going to face issues with them, So I find myself in the proverbial frying pan...hoping I won't jump into the fire!!!
