Hai warrior,

My reason why i choose single opt in
is beacuse i already master traffic generation

and i know how to convert offer
because when you offer direct to target buyer is really easy to convert...

How about you guys??

I like single opt-in cause I'm always annoyed by double opt-in. The only reason I'd see to use double opt-in is to eliminate spam.

The whole argument of "making sure somebody wants to join the list" doesn't make sense to me. If somebody opted in, that means they wanted to subscribe. And they will unsubscribe if they want anyway.

I use single optin because you end up with more subscribers.

Depends on what I'm giving away for free! If it's to build a list to promote stuff to, I use single opt in.

If my purpose was to build a list to only provide value I use double opt in!

But those people who would double optin are still also going to be on your list if using single optin, you'll just now have all the other subscribers who would not have confirmed.

So single optin is definitely the way to go.

This is true but depending on what your list size, you have to pay for those "Fake Subscribers" if you were to do single opt in.

I disbanded my list of 13K+ Simply because the open rate and click throughs were too low and I was paying way too much for my email auto responder.

That being said, I still do single opt in but I made sure on my landing page that they will receive the freebies via email, so like this they will at least enter in a "Real" email address.

It depends if you really have an exciting and amazing offer then doesn't make difference if you do single or double opt-in. But mostly if you do double opt-in then chances are high that you will get less unsubscriptions and your offers will be delivered in Inbox instead of spam folder.

The only issue with single opt-in is that anyone can enter anyone's email address, doesn't have to be the person who it actually belongs to. But if that weren't possible, I'd see no harm in single opt-in.

Low ticket opt ins = single opt in.

High ticket opt ins = double opt in.

It's how I run my business.

I'm going with single-optin. I've read thousands of threads on this very subject and I don't see any benefit with double optin. If someone wants to spam you and they're determined there's not much your going to do to stop them. What's more important is what you promised your visitor when they opted in to your list and if you make due on that promise.

There seems to be no way to change to single opt in with aweber. The list I set up tonight had option to say no

Me too. I use one opt-in because I get more subscribers. With double opt-ins i dont even get the half of the one opt-ins.

Plus, When I subscribe to someones list I don´t like to check my email and click another link and I dont do it. So why everybody is going to click my link.
