Moving from Wordpress.com to Wordpress.org

Hi Warriors!

I have a webiste which is currently run on Wordpress.com, i have a domain name and get some good traffic. Due to Wordpress.com's rules i can't add adsense or outside adverts to the site. I use affiliate adverts and make a few $ here and there nothing big.

My question is if i move from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and pay for my own hosting etc will this effect the traffic and Alexa rank that i have built up?
I think i can make more money with adsense than these affiliate ads.

any help would be appreciated.

    Just contact the web-host company you want to use, most will migrate your site for free.

      I don't think the hosting providers do this for free...

      Nope, you don't lose your Alexa rank or your position in Google, as long as you delete your old blog.

    Alexa and traffic won't be affect. Some web hosting can do the migration for you for free like ea-hosts.com. For domain transfering you can do it via name cheap.

    I haven't done it in a while, but it's not that difficult to do it yourself if you get the right hosting. I use BlueHost and if I'm not mistaken, there's something available through the CPanel that makes the move pretty simple, as in one-click.
