Ezine: First Article published

And so with this first published article I am expecting a deluge of visitors to my blog..... any time now :-)

In the meantime, Can someone tell me if they have one account or separate accounts for each niche or do you publish under the same name/account with information to individual blogs in the resources box.

I would think one account would be best to build up credibiltiy as a writer but just thought I would ask.

Thanks

I would recommend the same account for all your articles as that way you will be able to build up your portfolio and reputation in there. I believe they had some option of using different pen names under the same account. I am sorry but don't recall what exactly was that.

The best thing about ezine articles that a lot, and I mean a lot of marketers don't know about is that your profile can have a high Page Rank and if you link to your blog or website you get a strong DoFollow link.

So using one account is a smart choice. But 1 article wont cut it, you'll need a lot of articles to get good traffic and increase the page rank of your profile.

Another tip, link your articles to each other and create a link-wheel for your articles that will increase the weight of your backlinks. You must also link to your ezine articles profile because if your profile has a high PR then all the articles you post will have a better chance of getting those articles ranking high in search engines such as Yahoo, Ask etc..

You can (and should) publish all your articles, even if they are in different niches, under the same account. My personal opinion is to do it under the same name, and therefore build up the portfolio and credibility of one writer, as opposed to 'spreading' the knowledge too thin under a variety of pen names.

    Good luck!

I wouldn't expect a lot of traffic coming from Ezine Articles... unless you're in the sexual categories. Also, I wouldn't recommend publishing on Ezine for the purpose of getting traffic, instead, publish there to get noticed by webmasters looking for content to publish on their sites.

I could go on and on... but you'll learn a WHOLE lot more by checking out many posts and threads from Alexa Smith on this topic. It's been covered quite frequently here on the WF. Check out her site HERE that pretty much summarizes how to get the most out of article marketing.

As far as multiple accounts, I have just one account, but I do have multiple pen names for different niches. I wouldn't want my family searching online one day for what I've created and accomplished only to find some articles out there in some "questionable" niches... AWK-WARRRD!

So the differing pen names in same account is the way to go. Thanks for the link to Alexa's page, I have a shed full of her posts book marked already.

To be honest, ezine articles and "building reputation" as a writer doesn't really go well together. I am actually thinking about leaving out all my references to "ezinearticles" writing I did in the past in my portfolio. I don't think that ezinearticles, article directories or content mills look "good" on any writer's portfolio.

Funny, I just put my unused Ezine Articles Mug on eBay...lol.

In the olden days you could expect a ton of traffic directly from Ezine Articles as published articles worked their way up the food chain to the top of Google. They were in all their glory and life was good for them.

But then Google smashed EZA and put them in there proper place. So articles no longer climb rapidly to the top of the Google search pile. They are after all an article directory. So direct traffic from EZA is not what it was. But keep in mind one goal is to get others to use that material on their site thus the syndication which helps with traffic.

Meantime you should develop different pen names under ONE account if you are in different niches. It is easy to do and manage.
