Risk of viruses when purchasing plr products from IDplr.com?

After spending months creating my own products, today I've just stumbled across what seems to be too good to be true - private label rights to already created products. I would love to utilize these but have no knowledge on the subject. Is this option too good to be true? The site that I wanted to purchase from is called IDplr.com . I searched on here for posts regarding the site and from what I can tell, it looks like it is possibly owned by the same person that had posted on here about his website (indigitalworks) being hijacked?

Does anyone have any info as to whether 1) these ready made products with private label rights are too good to be true? and 2) Do I need to worry about possibly downloading a Trojan virus if I purchase & download products from this site (if it is owned by the same person- I am concerned that it may be).

If you are uncertain then look elsewhere for products...

PLR products are great for making your own products :-) lots and lots of people use PLR to make lots of money! Do some research and you will be surprised at how using PLR can boost your bottom line :-)

Yes, you do need to be careful with IDPLR. Some of the files have trojan viruses in them. I've been an off-again-on-again member of IDPLR for a couple of years and my advice is to steer clear of older products (2010 onward is fine - but you'll still need to scan them). Some of those old software products from 2008 and 2009, and a few of the graphics zip files and audio files have trojans.

I'd say the chances of getting a trojan from PLR files is pretty low but you should have some kind of method of scanning the files you download before you open or run them. If you have a virus scanner on your computer than you can download the file and usually be able to right click on it and choose the option to scan it depending on the program I guess.

Also if it's a PDF ebook, it is possible for a virus to be embedded in it but if you open it with Adobe reader and not the full Acrobat version you'll be safe because the reader version doesn't support embedded files. If it's an executable file such as a software program PLR you will want to scan it first to be sure before you run it or install it.

If you don't have a scanner there are a bunch of free ones online you can use to check the files first such as the one below.

As for PLR in general, yes there's a ton of it out there and it can be great for creating your own products or content. You can try and sell it the way it is but I'd say the best thing you can do is find the best quality PLR you can and then modify it to make it your own so that way it's unique. You can give it a new name, new graphics etc. and have a brand new product to put your name on.

Products delivered in the form of .exe should be avoided. These executable files can be infected with virus. PLR products are indeed great for creating your own products. You'll have to do some modifications to the product & the packaging to get best results.

Honestly, if I were you, I would contact Goran Zinic, who is also a fellow warrior, and ask him personally about this situation. He is very nice, and does his utmost for those who are part of his membership.

Unfortunately, he has been attacked by hackers in the past, and spent tons of money and time trying to get all his stuff back.

That has absolutely nothing to do with his actual products - in fact, I don't think it was even his server that was compromised if I remember correctly. I believe that it was actually his domain name that was stolen.

It seems to me that you really are not familiar with the private label products marketplace. If you were familiar with PLR then I don't imagine you would consider PLR products too good to be true.

You should check for any Trojan virus infections and avoid them. I don't think anyone can guarantee against this problem.

    Hi,
If you use a good antivirus like Norton, it will automatically delete any software products or anything you download from PLR or Master Resell Websites. Occasionally my Antivirus alerts me that they have removed a product or virus I have downloaded from PLR Websites. Usually a software product more so than PLR or Master Resale eBooks with web kits.

Just run a scan on all your files on a regular basis. I am currently trialling Avast, and they have a sandbox where you can screen such products for viruses.

And yes, PLR is great if you know what you are doing. You should find some posts here from members discussing the subject. Those who understand it and study it will know it can be very profitable, Type PLR into search and read along
