Optimal schedule to publish content?

I was wondering what your opinions are about scheduling content for optimal organic results.

12 on-site articles are year minimum? Maybe more?
Press release every 3 months?

Is there a formula that anyone's found works well for organic ranking?

thanks!

Honestly, it doesn't matter. I've studied this for 10+ years now -- zero effect.
You either update it regularly, or you don't. That's all the SE's notice.

just stick to publishing regular quality content, even if there is slight correlation between content publishing frequency and rankings, it must be too small to measure or optimize for.

The exact number you're looking for must have been 'regularly', lol.

Yes, once a month is 'enough' for some sites. Others I'd say daily... it really depends on your nice and traffic/monetization methods. If its a small, low competition niche, try once a month and see how it goes.

But if you're in the IM Niche i recommend an article per day ...i have done it for a site i was managing for 50% of sales and i saw wonderful results

        Thanks you guys.

Yeah the sites are massage therapy, underground homes, landscaping and a document scanning service.

So they're all over the map.

        thanks for your input.
