Solo Ads for Personal Development Niche

Dear Warriors,

Where can I get quality solo ads for personal development niches or other niches besides IM niches. Swap-ads.com don't provide for personal development niches. May I also know the reasons why there are SOOOO many solo ads for IM niches but not for Personal Development or other niches?

Thank you for all your help fellow warriors!

There are plenty of solo ads available for other markets. They're nothing like the MMO market though. There are no guaranteed clicks. There are no canned swipes for you to use. That stuff is a creation of the MMO crowd.

You find them either through a database of some kind where newsletter publishers make ad space available for a fee. Or you can contact people with newsletters and lists and ask if they'll sell you a spot. You'll need your own headline and ad copy. Try searching for self help newsletters or self help newsletters accepting solo ads or just ads. Good luck.

      Hi Zypheus

There's lots of solo ad sellers in the personal development niche.

I have solo ads for sale at BookingWizz v5.3 you can get a 10% discount until the end of the year using the coupon code 10percent.

You will find that personal development solo ads are more expensive than IM solo's for obvious reasons, but I can help put you in touch with others if you want.

Have you used these lists? When I see lists like this I'm afraid they have been collected by spammers.

In any case and assuming these lists are spam compliant, are these optins ready to be mailed to solo-ads or are we supposed to import them to an autoresponder of some sort? If the later is the case, I do not know of any autoresponder that would allow for this amount of emails to be imported. Any input on this?

      Thanks!

Go on clickbank, jvzoo and find people selling products in the self-dev niche and contact them asking if you can rent their list.

You could do the same thing by searching google and finding bloggers who are building opt-in lists and get in touch with them.

Make sure to ask about the details of the traffic, like is it a buyers list or not, how many unique clicks you're getting, etc.

People don't know what they're talking about, as usual. Listen, you browse through the CB marketplace, other retailer marketplaces, find good products, and contact the vendors who own them. Also do some research in your vertical and find decent websites that look like they have an engaged audience and email list. Also look for major authority sites too. Contact the owners...build rapport...then make an offer and seal the deal. You can find plenty of high quality, non IM/MMO solo ads that way. Best way to do it if you ask me. You're welcome.

I did this when I started back in 2007. Unfortunately, it is way more difficult to contact product owners nowadays. Most sites used to have contact links at the bottom of the page. It is not the case any longer. I'm not saying it is not possible to find the contact details BUT it can be very time consuming. If you are going that route, I suggest you find some help at Fiverr or some site like it..

I'm also searching for the same thing. I'd love to have a reliable source for Solo Ads in the self development niche or maybe a directory? Has anyone come up with any new solutions since this thread began? I'm pretty new to a lot of things and am seeking some clear guidance

I've talked to Igor's assistant a few months ago and she said Igor's lists are only in IM. If this has changed, please let me know.

      Thanks!

I'm also looking for solo ads in the self development niche. I'm sure there are some out there but they seem to be a lot harder to find than IM ads. Let me know if you find some!

I've just recently started selling some solo ads based on a list my forums related to weight loss and mental health ... I suspect that niche may work for your personal development niche. I don't know your specific niche under personal development and, not knowing, I honestly don't know how my list would respond, but happy to review your offer and give you my opinion on whether my members would likely respond. Check out my link in my sig if interested.

Personal Development is a parallel market that can work on a ton general interest lists and even Internet Marketing lists. It all depends on the "angle" of the promotion. One of my most successful promotions that I've ever run was an IM offer to a real estate investing list.

That's how some of the biggest media buyers do it. Instead of promoting a health offer the way MOST affiliates would they may send the offer to a "conservative republican" publication...

You can ask yourself what are my customers interested in? It can make it easier to find MORE traffic sources for you...

OR... if you take the advice of legends like Dan Kennedy, EVERYTHING starts with LIST, OFFER, then COPY. Since you know where to get a bunch of IM traffic you can create a $7 offer that shows IMers how these personal development stuff can make them more money, then upsell them on your core Personal development offer.

There is a new site called Clickonomy that started in the last couple of months. When I checked today there were 32 people selling Solo Ads in the Personal Development Niche including some well known email marketers in this field.

You buy Solo's using Paypal, but the payment is not credited to the seller until they have delivered your clicks. This provides a good incentive for the seller to deliver your clicks quickly. The site also records the number of clicks sent to your opt in page and with a bit of technical skill it can track your opt in rate as well.

I'm currently selling 100 clicks for $50 on this site.

Safe Swaps no longer sell solos. This is done by a new site called Udimi. This works similar to Clickonomy, but Clickonomy has many more sellers in the Personal Development niche.

If anyone is interested in doing Swaps (100 clicks or less), you can find me on Safe Swaps under Health and Fitness (they don't have a Personal Development category as yet which is a real shame). Alternatively, feel free to send me a message and we can talk more.

Hopefully these resources will help you build your Personal Development list more quickly.

I suggest you to find sites in your niche in site directories and SE.. If they collect emails (newsletter form), contact the owner and ask for the price..

Before you order solos, ensure you ask for:

    - How much emails have in the list
    - How old is the list
    - The percentage of Tier 1 subscribers
    - What is a number of new daily subscribers
    - Screenshot proofs

You will have some work and it will take some time, but you can outsource the whole entire process

Yes these are good questions to ask any Solo Ad provider.

    I also ask these questions

    1. What types of free offers does your list like the most?
    2. Do you include people on your buyers list?

I also ask if I can opt in to their list first. I can then gauge the balance between promotions, valuable content and other Solo Ads. It's also a good way of assessing whether your free gift will be a good match for their subscribers.
