Internet Marketing & Link Tracking Question

Hi Warriors:

Hope it was a great weekend for all.

Can you please explain something about link tracking?

While it can be used for somebody to know where they are getting traffic from can it also be used in reverse by a Cost Per Action Network to make sure the links are coming from approved sources?

In other words the people that post on sites they are told not to (let's use Craigslist) even if they change the link they are promoting from hop=1234johndoe1234 to mygreatofferwhatever dot com wouldn't the CPA Network/Company be able to find out where the traffic originated from or is the link tracking only in place to be tracked by the person that created it to begin with?

Thank you.

Yes, technically, they can look for exact link matches on Google. However, I think this is where you're going with this...

If you don't want a CPA network to see where your traffic is coming from, you'll need to look into a Double Meta Refresh to "blank" out the referrer.

      Hi Jesus:

      Thanks for answer.

That has to be it Double Meta Refresh because those that talk about posting on sites against the terms of service would not want to be banned and lose commissions.

Starting to investigate CPA this is very new to me and I want to play be the rules.

      Thanks again for your post.
