From $0 to $1300 a Month

Hello Everyone , My name is Heather

I want to give all this a sincere try, and I want to be making $1300 by Mid February or the beginning of March. I know it is not a ton of money, but goals and dreams gotta start somewhere right? :p

I want to increase about $250-$500 per month every month after that.

I have a site I've been working on for the past 4 weeks. It is in a market that doesn't seem too competitive in terms of affiliates, although there are a few review-ish sites out there.I think I can do better.The product price range is $900-$4000, and if someone is looking for it they are already considering buying.

I also have some ideas in the works on using facebook and creating some sort of list/ fanpage. This is a separate project from the above mentioned site. I am just diving in, working on getting content out there and seeing what sticks.

I am not ignorant to making money in the online world, I have just never made any.I've been watching everything from afar while finishing college.

I like writing, and the idea of doing some sort of newsletter that people can subscribe too.I like setting up sites too though so I don't know where to go

You guys think I can reach my first goal?

    I don't want to be a pessimist, but that increase in earnings is going to take a lot of work and a little stroke of luck. Making passive income online is no simple task.

    It's definitely achievable especially if the commission is decent (not sure what the % is) and there's sufficient demand AND you manage to get sufficient targeted traffic.

    Assuming an 8% conversion rate at an average sale price of $2K means $160 per sale commission. You need 9 sales per month. That's 2 per week plus one extra.

    If your website converts at .1% (very low conversion rate - just being conservative), you need 2000 visitors per week which isn't hard with some decent social media. You might do better with YouTube for targeting buyer keywords.

    Add in your email newsletter and you can likely increase your conversion rate. Go for it ... as long as you know the product converts.

    I've done very well with only a handful of products. When you find a product that converts promote it as much as you can.

      Right now I am using amazon at the moment, AND I got approved to be an affiliate for a company in the field. I can send visitors directly to their site, which is good because this company I got approved for is the best in the field. They did contact me and had a look at my site.I guess if they thought my site was ok, then that counts for something!

      Each product runs about $1000-$5000 dollars. I will need to gain trust in this market.But it is not flooded with affiliates. Mostly because this is something that is popular in America,but it is not tremendously popular, so it is not going to be a bloody knuckles fight to get ranked. My site was indexed in Google after a week, and it shows up first page in Bing for my keywords in my domain name(which is something people would legit type in for a search).

      Right now I am waiting on approval at shareasale for 2 affiliate programs. These people are taking their time lol.

      You can do this quite easily. Target a niche and do a lot of vlume in content for various keywords surrounding that niche. I have been able to easily replicate what you are trying to do many times over again. You can do it too.

      My niche is something for home and outdoor/garden.

      I am a bit afraid to say exactly what it is because it is something that the right affiliate with the right expertise might come and stomp me out at this point.I haven't figure out how to work the situation really :p

    If you think you can, you can. No one can stop you but yourself. Have a plan and then follow your plan. Tweak and adjust until you reach your goal.

    So you'll make approximately $500–$2,000 per sale as an affiliate? Then your goal is totally doable.

    You just need to create authority, trust and excellent sales funnel.

    If people trust your authority, they will trust that the products you are promoting to them are good value for them and they will buy.

    Just remember to play with numbers to set your targets. High ticket items might not get very high conversion rates. If your conversion rate for a sales funnel visitor is 0,5–1% and you need 2-3 sales / month to reach your income goal, then you need at least 200 visitors to your funnel per month.

    I'd suggest that you try upselling: give a free valuable product for people to join your list. Sell a >$100 item and on sell, try to upgrade to your current product.

    I kind of almost did that amount of income acceleration during 2010 when I was a member of TKA. But now Google is wise to keyword targeting and they're getting better at detecting real sites.

    I think you could still achieve it, but not with a wordpress blog and lots of articles.

    What sort of products does your site sell? Digital or physical?
    How big do you intend the site to be by the end of January?

    I think your goal is possible, but making about $43/day from one site that quickly will be difficult as high ticket products don't sell as well as cheaper products and you probably need at least one sale every couple of days to reach that goal.

    If your offer is something people might buy for presents then over Christmas and New Year you might achieve it! Just don't get demoralized if your earnings go down after that. You certainly have the right positive mind set!
