Hi Warriors,

I just found a gig on fiverr and was wondering how they accomplish this and is it worth it?

"I will drive UNLIMITED genuine real traffic to your website for one month for $5"

They have 100% positive rating with over 8000 votes.

I just hate to be scammed.

Thanks All!

Short answer: if you just need "traffic" then yes. In your analytics you will see traffic.

Long answer: if you need anything else than just page hits, then you should skip it. You most probably won't be getting any subscribers, leads, sales, etc. That is most likely bot traffic. Some website sellers might use those gigs to show huge traffic stats for a potential buyer.

True. I have tried it in the past and it does not convert. They could be some honest gigs but identifying them would be tricky.

This must be un targeted bot traffic or some other redirected traffic. This type of traffic may just be useful in increasing your Alexa ranking and nothing else.

I suggest you read the feedbacks. Some of them should have said something about how many visitors they got. Otherwise I'd suggest you take a leap of faith and try it. It sounds promising according to the rating of that gig.

Well, unless someone just wants hits (not sales or subscriptions) it doesn't sound awesome to me. Far from it.

If it looks too good to be true then it probably is.

If you can get unlimited worthwhile traffic for $5 why in the hell would one bother about on and off site job.

If you are looking for a gig that will manipulate your traffic stat with no single conversion then you got it for five bucks.

Don't expect quality traffic from fiverr, period. As was mentioned above, if you just want to show your boss that you have traffic and that's it, it will probably work, but it will probably backfire on you somehow.

Only use this type of traffic for testing purposes. If things were this easy, everyone would be doing it. Remember, quality traffic (targeted) equals conversions.

Yes, I've just started a test with a similar Fiverr gig. The traffic is showing up, but no other stats 'yet' to show if there is any value there.
I thought for $5- it was worth a shot - we'll see in a months time when the gig ends

As there are many good reviews about that gig, I am quite sure you would get what is promised there. Anyway I am not very sure about the quality of the traffic that you may get. Until you try it yourself, you won't know that either.

  • you shouldn't be looking for just traffic. I would rather have 1 targeted visitor than 10,000 bots obviously. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

Stay away. It's too good to be true; the "traffic" won't convert.

If you run CPM ads on your website, then you'll make money.

    Otherwise, you won't.

When I was a real newbie I fell for a Fiverr gig that promised endless traffic, and I got it. But it was 100% junk that looked clearly like some kind of bot. Not even worth 5 cents or 5 seconds of your time, never mind 5 dollars. It's 5 bucks straight down the toilet.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

I used several similar gigs a while back for testing purposes and I did indeed receive the traffic but it was all junk and not a single conversion.

It actually hurt my bounce rate tremendously.

Not really useful to use fiverr gigs like this - unless you want to impress your competition. You should save the $5 for that gig for a matinee.

If he can get you "Genuine REAL traffic" he won't be selling for measly $5 , he would be making 1000's everyday

Message the seller and ask him or her..HOW do you drive traffic to my site? Is this traffic from humans or robots or both? Hope they are honest with you. Keep in mind it is only $5. So, take you chance.

I would save my 5 dollars if I were you, as most people mentioned above all you gonna get is junk, use that 5 bucks to get a good link gig from fiver to your site. You won't get the huge amount of traffic, but you will be better off on the long run.

The job will get done but all those visitors are bots, they are not real people. There is no way someone can guarantee a set amount of visitors. too many variables involved.

It's likely junk traffic sent by bots. It's not a good idea. It can up your stats as far as visitors go but it has multiple detrimental effects on other aspects of your stats.

        Stay away from it!

Instead, spend the 5 dollars on an article, add some off your personality too the article, then turn that into a video and pdf, add the article to your website, mix in the video and some pictures to make it really good, then upload the video to youtube.com, vimeo.com, dailymotion.com and pdf to Slideshare.com, Issuu.com, Yudu.com and Docshare.com.

Be sure to have your links in the pdf, video description and branded on the video itself.

You could also interlink the videos and docs! So add a link in the video description to your pdf on Slideshare.com and the other way around too.

Then build some quality backlinks, blog commenting, forums, another article linking back to the authority post on your site, which you can the syndicate, turn into a video and pdf, then .........

Hang on a minute!!! That's a WSO right there! I'm off... see ya

They are probably playing 3rd party where they get the traffic from elsewhere and put in your URL for it to be distributed to you over the upcoming weeks.
