Free way to distribute ebook and get email?

I'm looking to give away a free ebook in my blog with the condition that my visitor will give me their email.

How do I got about this? I want something automated without paying? Is there a free way to do this? I saw aweber charges for this but I'm still small and need a free service.

    I think Mail Chimp is free up to 500 subscribers.

    Mostly the autoresponders I know either they have subscribers limitation or they offer a month or few weeks trial, so it's better to be a member of a affordable service. I am using getresponse, it's better than aweber.

    Mailchimp is fine if you are not building a list in the MMO niche. Another good option is to use a wordpress plugin like wysija and build your list. It is easy to add a optin box to the sidebar of your blog.

    Wysija is free for building a list of upto 2000 subscribers. This plugin also integrates well with 3rd party smtp providers. I've used this plugin and it works really well.
